High efficiency automated pharmaceutical dispenser
A system, method and corresponding apparatus are provided for packaging, storing, tracking, and dispensing pharmaceuticals in unit doses in a highly efficient manner. In particular, a method of packaging pharmaceuticals within a ribbon having a plurality of adjacent segments each containing a unit dose of a pharmaceutical and having associated data indicia for efficient and uniform transport, tracking, storage and dispensing is provided. Pharmaceuticals are loaded into an automated dispenser that is networked with computers for accepting prescriptions and dispensing pharmaceutical accordingly.
Medication reminder system
A medication reminder system includes a container and a reminder ring. The container includes a plurality of protuberances located along the neck area of which creates a groove between each protuberance and the container includes indicia. The indicia are time indicators located at a rotational position along a circumference of the shoulder area. The ring is rotatably engaged to the neck area of the container to indicate a time for a next medication dosage. The ring has a plurality of internal locking members which each rotationally engage at least one of the plurality of protuberances to lock the ring in a desired rotated position. The ring has at least one external member which points to indicia located at a shoulder area of the container.
HEALTHCARE MANAGEMENT SERVICES
Robotic pill dispensers are described. A robotic pill dispenser may include a main body forming a cavity and comprising an inlet port and an outlet port. The pill dispenser may further include a container assembly disposed in the cavity of the main body. The container assembly may include a container body and a plurality of blades fastened to the container body and dividing the container assembly into a plurality of compartments. The plurality of blades may be movable relative to the container body. The pill dispenser may further comprise a processor configured to control the pill dispenser to align a first compartment of the plurality of compartments to the outlet port, determine whether one or more medications are present in the first compartment, and control the mechanical actuator to shake at least a portion of the pill dispenser.
MEASURING CONTAINER, LOADING TOOL, AND MEASURING CONTAINER KIT
A measuring container comprises a storage container and a storage section selector. The storage container includes storage sections each capable of storing a predetermined number of tablets. The storage section selector is attached to the storage container and has a second path that allows the tablets to pass through from one end to an other end. The one end of the second path is connected to an outside, and the other end is selectively connected to one of the storage sections.
NESTING STRUCTURES FOR STORAGE, TRANSPORT, AND ASSEMBLY OF DRUG DISPENSERS AND CONTAINERS
Various nesting structures for storage, transport and/or assembly of dispensers and containers are described herein. For example, a packaging structure for a plurality of drug dispensers may include a support surface and a plurality of dispenser covers arranged on the support surface, where at least one dispenser cover includes a locking flexure member configured to couple a dispenser to the at least one dispenser cover.
DISPENSING CONSUMABLES
A device for dispensing consumables includes a housing, a drawer, a cap, a latch, and a tooth. The housing may define a volume. The drawer defines a cavity and may be disposed in the volume. The cap may be along the housing. The latch may be securable to hold the cap in a closed position enclosing the volume. In response to a force exceeding a threshold force on the latch, the cap may be movable from the closed position to an open position exposing the volume. The tooth may be mechanically coupled to the latch and, in response to the force exceeding the threshold force on the latch, the tooth may movable in the cavity in a direction directing a consumable unit out of the volume with the cap in the open position.
Dispenser And Complementary Vaporizer
A dispenser for dispensing solid or semi-solid vaporizable consumables to a vaporizer includes a first store for storing at least one solid or semi-solid vaporizable consumable therein, and a first lid. The first store includes an opening for dispensing a solid or semi-solid vaporizable consumable therethrough, and the first lid is arranged such that it closes the opening in the first store when in a closed position. Further, the dispenser is arranged such that, in use, engaging a vaporizer with the dispenser loads a heating chamber in the vaporizer with a solid or semi-solid vaporizable consumable stored within the first store by aligning the opening in the first store with an opening in the heating chamber.
