10019964 · 2018-07-10 · ·

A head mounted display (HMD) includes a magnetic sensor to produce a sensor signal responsive to detecting a magnet within a first threshold distance. The HMD also includes a circuit operatively coupled to the magnetic sensor. The circuit determines that the HMD is to be placed in a storage mode responsive to receiving the sensor signal from the magnetic sensor. The circuit powers down components of the HMD responsive to determining that the HMD is to be placed in the storage mode.

Presenting an auxiliary storage apparatus and aircraft container that enables existing non-regulated temperature containers to be equipped with specific features such as cooling, heating, and humidifying features.

The storage container with specific features is inserted into a non-regulated temperature container for aircraft use and is affixed to the interior of the aforementioned non-regulated temperature container by the auxiliary storage apparatus, which is comprised of the wire (14) that passes over the storage container, the hooks (10, 10) and pulleys (12, 12) that affix to the existing support brackets (20, 20) that are located on the four corners of the floor surface, and the turnbuckle (16). One end of the wire (14) hooks onto the hook (10). The wire (14) then passes over the storage container and winds around the pulleys (12, 12). The other end of the wire (14) attaches to the other hook (10 using the turnbuckle (16). As the operator operates the turnbuckle, the wire (14) tightens against the storage container, and the storage container is affixed to the interior of the non-regulated temperature container.

A contact lens package may include a first package layer, a second package layer, a lens receiving area defined between the first and second package layers, a first seal portion between the first and second package layers extending around a first portion of the lens receiving area, a second seal portion between the first and second package layers extending around a second portion of the lens receiving area, and the second seal portion having different sealing properties than the first seal portion. The second seal portion together with the first seal portion complete a seal around the lens receiving area. The first seal portion defines an unsealed gap at a location around the lens receiving area, and the second seal portion closes the gap. The gap allows a flow of fluids after a formation of the first seal.

CONTACT LENS PACKAGE WITH DRAINING PORT

A contact lens package includes a base having a proximal end and a distal end, a solution well between the proximal end and the distal end, a contact lens support in the solution well, a top opening between the proximal end and the distal end and over the contact lens support, and a via through a wall of the base adjacent the well, the via providing a fluid exit for solution within well. A removable lid overlying the top opening may be removably affixed over the top opening such that a user may remove the lid to access the contact lens. Using this package, fluid can be drained away from the contact lens in the package before removal from the package by a user, thus providing good adhesion between a user's finger or applicator and the lens over prior packaging.
