Bendable Cargo Securement Device and Method
A compact bendable cargo securement device for stabilizing unrestrained items in the bed or cargo area of a pick-up truck or storage area in a motorhome or recreational trailer is disclosed. It may also be used as a stabilizer doing woodwork and other jobs that require stability of the work platform. The device will conform to any surface and has the ability to wrap around objects—both regular and irregular shaped—and will hold them and keep them from shifting. As disclosed, the bendable cargo securement device is composed of a flexible tube loaded with filler material when used and deployed for securing objects. The flexible tube is preferably fabricated from rubber or any material allowing sufficient flexibility for the cargo securement device to wrap around items while having suitable strength to avoid puncture/destruction from deployment. Each end of the device requires a closure to contain the filler material.
CONTACT LENS PACKAGE AND CONTACT LENS PACKAGING METHOD
The present disclosure proposes a contact lens package. The contact lens package includes a first substrate, a contact lens, and a guard ring. The contact lens is disposed on the first substrate. The guard ring is disposed on the first substrate and surrounds the contact lens, wherein the guard ring is fixed on a side surface of the first substrate. The contact lens and the guard ring are surrounded and sealed in the first substrate.
STABILIZATION OF COLLAGEN SCAFFOLDS
Shape-stabilized collagen scaffolds and methods of obtaining such stabilized scaffolds are disclosed. Stroma can be harvested, for example, from human or porcine corneal stroma. The stroma can be shaped during excision or in a separate step after excision. Following shaping (and preferably decellularization), the excised stroma portion is subject to pressure, force or vacuum to reduce fluid content and then irradiated or otherwise treated to induce crosslinking of collagen chains or fibrils. Various sources of energy can be employed to induce peptide bond crosslinking of collagen including, for example, ultraviolet (UV) radiation. The scaffolds can also be selectively densified or patterned. The invention is particularly useful in forming stable lenticules for intracorneal implantation in additive ocular surgery.
Reduction in stress cracking of films
Methods and packages for storing film strips while reducing or eliminating stress cracking during storage, including use of packages having an inner surface made from polymeric materials exhibiting various physical properties and including films and pouches that are annealed.
LOCK SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USING
A packaging fixture with a mounted locking device is disclosed. The packing fixture allows users to become familiar with the locking device and associated software applications while the locking device is still attached to the packaging fixture. The removal of the locking device from the packaging fixture demonstrates important aspects of the installation of the locking device on a door to help familiarize the user with the locking device and the installation procedure.
UTENSIL PROTECTION DEVICE
A utensil protection device, including a main body to store a head of a utensil therein, a plurality of sealing members removably disposed on a first end of the main body within at least a portion of the main body to prevent the head of the utensil from contamination, and a hinge disposed on a second end of the main body to facilitate movement of the main body from closed in a first position to at least partially opened in a second position.
PIPETTE TIP RACK
Provided herein is a single-walled pipette tip rack comprising buttresses for use in automated systems, in some embodiments. Also provided herein is a partial single-walled pipette tip rack comprising posts.
