Packaging containers suitable for the transport, storage and retail display of individually packaged products are provided. The packaging container comprises a base having or being provided with an upper surface sloped from a back end to a front end thereof. The upper surface of the base is provided with one or more discrete areas of a slippery material. Packaging units are also provided comprising the packaging container and a plurality of individually packaged products. The containers and units are readily and easily manufactured and so methods for manufacturing both the container and packaging unit are also provided.

The invention relates to a food package comprising a plurality of food products A food package includes packaging box having a body and a cover. The body has a bottom wall and first and second mutually opposed side walls, therewith defining an inner space in the body for granular food products. The inner space of the body is exposed at a top side for provision and removal of food products. The cover has a cover wall which at least covers said exposed inner space of the body. The body is provided with at least one strip extending above said inner space. The strip is interconnected to a corresponding one of the first and second side walls along an edge of the body, touches the cover wall—in at least a portion of the strip and at least substantially—and is configured to be elastically rotatable along the said edge of the body.

The invention relates to a food package comprising a plurality of food products A food package includes packaging box having a body and a cover. The invention provides a method of manufacturing packaging comprising the steps of: a) providing a packaging material (2) comprising cartonboard, semi-rigid plastics or other semi-rigid packaging material; b) forming fold lines (8) and/or cuts within the packaging material (2) by subjecting the packaging material (2) to laser (12) or mechanical scoring; c) folding the packaging material (2) along the fold lines (8) and/or cuts and securing in position to form a substantially tubular container (200); and d) forming at least one seal (302, 304) by sealing together at least two opposing regions (122, 124, 126, 128) of a blank (4) to form an at least partially sealed package (300); e) performing at least one of steps b), c) and d) on a horizontal or vertical fill, form and seal apparatus (400).

A package includes a first pouch and either a second pouch or a cover, where the pouches are configured to contain a product, such as a food product, and attached relative to each other about a hinge. The package includes at least one closure flap. The first and second pouches or first pouch and cover are movable about the hinge from a closed position where access is at least partially blocked by the closure flap when in the closed position and wherein the closure flap is separated to allow greater access when in an open position. Methods of manufacturing such packages are also provided.

A consumable product package assembly includes at least one consumable product and a package for enclosing the at least one product. The package includes an elongate body portion surrounding the product and a longitudinal seal extending at least partially along the length of the body portion. The seal has a pair of longitudinally spaced notches extending transversely to the distal edge of the seal. The notches define a grasping tab therebetween to initiate tearing of the body portion of the package transversely about the product. The body portion further includes at least one score location extending between the notches to weaken the package thereat to facilitate controlled tearing of the body portion.

A consumable product package assembly includes at least one consumable product and a package for enclosing the at least one product. The package includes an elongate body portion surrounding the product and a longitudinal seal extending at least partially along the length of the body portion. The seal has a pair of longitudinally spaced notches extending transversely to the distal edge of the seal. The notches define a grasping tab therebetween to initiate tearing of the body portion of the package transversely about the product. The body portion further includes at least one score location extending between the notches to weaken the package thereat to facilitate controlled tearing of the body portion.
