Floor jack with temporary shipping handles and packaging therefor
This invention is directed towards the packaging of heavy articles such as floor jacks and similar equipment. The package is adapted to allow a heavy article to be rolled out of the package without lifting. The packaging is designed to engage with temporary handles positioned on the packaged article to make it easier for an end user to maneuver the packaged article and to remove the article from the packaging.

PACKAGING BODY
A packaging body includes a base on which a packaging target is placed, a box including first flaps and second flaps, and a binding body configured to bind the base and the box and disposed between the first flaps and the second flaps. The box has a rectangular shape and an upper opening portion and configured to cover a top face and side faces of the packaging target. The first flaps are disposed in pairs opposing to each other extending from opposite scorelines of the upper opening portion and including an opening through which an included object is inserted. The second flaps are disposed in pairs opposing to each other extending from different opposite scorelines of the upper opening portion and configured to be folded over the first flaps when the first flaps are folded. The first flaps further include partial flap portions.

LOAD-SECUREMENT APPARATUS AND A METHOD OF INSTALLING THE LOAD-SECUREMENT APPARATUS TO SECURE A LOAD IN A SHIPPING CONTAINER
The present disclosure provides a load-securement apparatus and a method of installing the load-securement apparatus to secure a load in a shipping container. In one embodiment, the load-securement apparatus includes a first non-rigid anchor member, a second non-rigid anchor member, a first non-rigid load restrainer, and a second non-rigid load restrainer. In one embodiment, the method of installing the load-securement apparatus comprises attaching the first load restrainer to the first anchor member, attaching the first anchor member to the shipping container adjacent a side wall, attaching the second load restrainer to the second anchor member, attaching the second anchor member to the shipping container adjacent another side wall, attaching the first load restrainer to the second load restrainer such that part of the first load restrainer and part of the second load restrainer both contact the load, and tensioning the attached first and second load restrainers to a designated tension.
Apparatuses and Methods for Packaging Surfboards and Other Objects
An apparatus for packaging at least one surfboard includes an outer enclosure. The packaging apparatus further includes a plurality of edge frames supported directly or indirectly by the outer enclosure. The edge frames are configured to support the surfboard, directly or indirectly. Optionally, the packaging apparatus may also have a plurality of stabilizers affixed to the outer enclosure, where the plurality of edge frames have at least a first edge frame and a second edge frame, the first edge frame abuts at least two of the plurality of stabilizers, and the second edge frame abuts at least two of the plurality of stabilizers.
Apparatuses and Methods for Packaging Surfboards and Other Objects
An apparatus for packaging at least one surfboard includes an outer enclosure. The packaging apparatus further includes a plurality of edge frames supported directly or indirectly by the outer enclosure. The edge frames are configured to support the surfboard, directly or indirectly. Optionally, the packaging apparatus may also have a plurality of stabilizers affixed to the outer enclosure, where the plurality of edge frames have at least a first edge frame and a second edge frame, the first edge frame abuts at least two of the plurality of stabilizers, and the second edge frame abuts at least two of the plurality of stabilizers.
Method of packaging a free standing machine using a multi-component base structure
A pallet base structure including a center deck defining a support surface extending between opposed sides and having at least two lugs extending from each of the opposed sides. A pair of base side members are positioned along respective sides of the center deck. Each base side member has first and second spaced apart base legs and a support member extending between the base legs with at least two corresponding lug receiving slots defined in the support member. The respective lugs are received in the respective lug receiving slots such that the center deck support surface is aligned with an upper surface of each support member to define a planar pallet surface. A packaging system incorporating the pallet base structure is also described.
Method of packaging a free standing machine using a multi-component base structure
A pallet base structure including a center deck defining a support surface extending between opposed sides and having at least two lugs extending from each of the opposed sides. A pair of base side members are positioned along respective sides of the center deck. Each base side member has first and second spaced apart base legs and a support member extending between the base legs with at least two corresponding lug receiving slots defined in the support member. The respective lugs are received in the respective lug receiving slots such that the center deck support surface is aligned with an upper surface of each support member to define a planar pallet surface. A packaging system incorporating the pallet base structure is also described.

A method of packaging a convertible couch into a box includes forming a frame assembly. Forming the frame assembly includes coupling a plurality of arms, a first seat portion, a second seat portion, a first back portion, and a second back portion together. A plurality of pillows and at least one back cushion are positioned within the frame assembly. The frame assembly is positioned into the box after assembly and a divider is placed on top of the frame assembly. A first mattress roll is formed and then a second mattress roll is formed. The first mattress roll and the second mattress roll are placed on the divider in the box and the box is closed and sealed.
