Packaging system including a multi-component base structure
A pallet base structure including a center deck defining a support surface extending between opposed sides and having at least two lugs extending from each of the opposed sides. A pair of base side members are positioned along respective sides of the center deck. Each base side member has first and second spaced apart base legs and a support member extending between the base legs with at least two corresponding lug receiving slots defined in the support member. The respective lugs are received in the respective lug receiving slots such that the center deck support surface is aligned with an upper surface of each support member to define a planar pallet surface. A packaging system incorporating the pallet base structure is also described.

PAPER WRAPPING MATERIALS AND METHOD FOR A HIGHLY COMPRESSED PRODUCT
Paper wrapping materials and method to securely wrap a rolled-up High Expansion Force product. The materials include a kraft paper layer encircling a circumference of the product with a leading end of the paper layer adhered to a tail end of the product by a first hotmelt adhesive. A tail end of the paper layer is adhered to a middle portion of the paper layer with a second hotmelt adhesive encircling the product. The paper layer has: (i) a Basis Weight from about 68 pounds per 3000 feet squared to about 84 pounds per 3000 feet squared, (ii) a Tensile Strength (MD) from about 55 pounds per inch to about 70 pounds per inch, (iii) a Stretch (MD) from about 7% to about 11%, and (iv) a fiber content of at least 70% virgin fibers. The second hotmelt adhesive is between about 15% and about 25% thermoplastic elastomer.

Space Saving Sofa Kit
This particular invention accomplishes the objective of flat small packing by means of having a flap on the bottom of the sofa base pieces that can fasten and enclose a hollow space inside of the base. Sofa backs, cushions, tools and parts all can be placed inside of the sofa base during storage and shipping inside of a box optimally made of cardboard. The box only needs to be big enough to contain the base piece. The sofa back can then be attached to the seat frame by metal threaded rods. The arms can be attached to the sides using the hardware and the cushions put in place. Supporting legs are screwed onto the bottom by hand and the sofa is complete.
