Dental end forming burr
10667886 · 2020-06-02 ·

A dental burr for preparing tooth for fabrication may include a shank designed to engage with a dental handpiece; and a burr body extending from the shank. The burr body may have a lip distal from the shank, the lip defining an opening into a cavity within the burr body, the cavity being sized to accommodate a tooth; and an indented edge extending from an area of the burr body proximate to the lip to the lip, wherein an exterior surface of the indented edge, the lip, and an inner surface of the cavity be an abrasive surface. The burr body may also have at least one debris vent extending therethrough.

PARTIAL DENTAL PROSTHESIS
20200163741 · 2020-05-28 ·

A method for producing partial dental prosthesis having at least one surface for forming a chewing surface of a posterior tooth is provided. The method includes (i) providing a composite material with at least one organic binding agent and solid particles that consist of glass as filler; and (ii) applying a laser to at least some regions of a surface of the chewing surface such that the at least one organic binding agent is burnt off in laser-treated regions and the solid particles are melted and fused together to form a continuous enamel layer.

INSTRUMENT FOR IN SITU MEASUREMENT OF THE ANGLE OF CONVERGENCE IN A DENTAL PREPARATION

An in situ measuring instrument of the convergence angle (AC) of a dental preparation or stump in the field of dentistry, applied to humans or other species, having a movable bar, a support bar arranged parallel to each other and coupled perpendicularly and slidable relative to a central bar by a first guiding hole at one end of the central bar and a second guiding hole at one end of the support bar which allow the relative vertical movement of the movable bar and horizontal movement of the support bar, allowing both bars to be adjusted to the base of the stump. This instrument allows measuring both natural and artificial teeth and implants, as well as fixed and mobile prostheses, just as if any device attached to the tooth (artificial or implant) is desired to be installed.

A dental prosthesis is disclosed includes a prosthetic tooth element comprising ceramic and a veneer located on a surface of the prosthetic tooth element, the veneer comprising cured dental composite. The prosthetic tooth element can be fixed to a mount in a patient's mouth using the same dental composite used for the veneer. A method of forming a prosthetic tooth element is disclosed including filling a mould that is formed at least partially from flexible polymeric material with a dental mixture comprising ceramic, and applying pressure to the filled mould to form a prosthetic tooth element comprising ceramic with a roughened surface.
