INTERMODAL CONTAINER, HANDLING METHOD AND APPARATUS

The present invention provides a lid (400) for an open container (100, 13.10), a lid lifting system (13.100), a tippler (13.200) with the improved lid lifting system (13.100) and a method of lifting a container. The lid and lifting arrangement includes an apertured receiving formation (401) on an upper side of a lid (100) to receive a lift member (13.40). The lift member (13.40) can do one or more than one of the following: engaging the formation (401) will unlock a locking mechanism (13.42,458) holding the lid (400) to a container (100); or allow the lift member (13.40) to be rotated to thereby unlock the locking mechanism (13.42, 458) which locks the lid (400) to the container (100), while simultaneously locking the lift member (13.40, 458) to the lid (400). A lifting device which is able to perform such actions is also disclosed, and a method to operate the lifting device.

COLLAPSIBLE SHIPPING CONTAINER

A collapsible container that includes a base, a first side panel hingedly attached to the base, a second side panel hingedly attached to the base, a first end panel hingedly attached to the base, with the first end panel including a door, and a second end panel hingedly attached to the base. The collapsible container can further include a top cover. The collapsible container is configured to be positioned in a collapsed position and an assembled position. In an assembled position, the collapsible container is configured to hold items during a domestic or international move.

Described herein are units for transportation of cargo, and methods of using them. In some embodiments, the units are collapsible, stackable cargo units. In some embodiments, the cargo units include a generally rectangular base having a front, a rear and two sides, with forklift slots on its front, rear and each side. The cargo units may further include front and rear walls extending upward from the base. The cargo units may further include first and second side walls extending upward from the base between the front and rear walls. The first side wall may have a length greater than the second side wall. The cargo units may further include an integrated lid hingedly attached to one or more of the front, rear, and side walls.

The application relates to a transport unit for transporting a moving walkway, which transport unit has moving walkway modules and holding frames. At least two of the moving walkway modules are designed as a moving walkway central part and each have a supporting structure portion, the supporting structure portion being designed to support a guide rail portion, a forward pallet belt portion and a return pallet belt portion. The moving walkway modules are designed to be coupled to one another one behind the other. The moving walkway modules are arranged in the transport unit in levels one above the other. Each holding frame has horizontal struts spaced apart and parallel to one another and vertical struts holding the horizontal struts at opposite ends. A holding frame is arranged at positions spaced apart such that one of the moving walkway modules rests on one of the horizontal struts and the vertical struts extend on opposite sides of the moving walkway modules.

A transport container for bulk cargo/materials has a rectangular base and four sidewalls. The sidewalls are hingedly connected to the base and movable from an erect condition, providing a box structure for loading of the container, into a folded flat condition for stacking of the container. The base includes hinged floor for discharge of the particulate material contents by lifting the container with forklift engaging formations at an upper end of two oppositely arranged sidewalls. Forklift sleeves on an underside of the floor allow for movement of the loaded container.

TRANSPORTABLE CONTAINER WITH MATING ASSEMBLY FOR USE WITH A ROLL-OFF TRUCK

A transportable container includes: a container, wherein the container comprises: two sidewalls; a front wall; and a floor; and a mating assembly, wherein the mating assembly is attached to the container and comprises: two or more rails secured to an underneath plane of the floor, wherein the two or more rails matingly engage with two or more hoist rails of a roll-off truck; two or more rear rollers; and a loading assembly. The mating assembly and the loading assembly can be attached to the container after the container has been transported from a first location to a second location. The container can thus, be re-purposed for loading, transporting, and unloading via a roll-off truck. The container can be loaded, transported, and unloaded via a cable/winch system or a hook/lift system of the roll-off truck.
