Modular cargo containment systems, assemblies, components, and methods
To provide a better way of protecting cargo on flatbed trucks, railcars, and so forth, the present inventor, devised among other things a cargo containment system formed from a set of interconnectable weatherproof panels that can be configured to define a rectilinear containment structure over and around a volume of cargo.
METHODS OF ASSEMBLY OF PREFABRICATED TRUSS CONSTRUCTION MODULES
The disclosure provides a method that includes providing or assembling a rectangular horizontal member, joining a vertical member to the rectangular horizontal member such that the vertical member bisects a length of the horizontal member and forms a T-junction at the horizontal member, joining first and second sloped members to the rectangular horizontal member and vertical member such that the first and second sloped members span from a top of the vertical member to opposing ends of the horizontal member, and joining first and second support members such that the first and second support members span from the T-junction between the vertical member and horizontal member to work points on an underside of each of the first and second sloped members. The structure thus formed can be assembled from prefabricated units shipped together in parallel planar orientation in a shipping container to provide a roof truss unit.
PREFABRICATED TRUSS CONSTRUCTION MODULES
The disclosure provides an article of manufacture that includes a rectangular horizontal member, a vertical member bisecting a length of the horizontal member and forming a T-junction at the horizontal member, first and second sloped members spanning from a top of the vertical member to opposing ends of the horizontal member, and first and second support members spanning from the T-junction between the vertical member and horizontal member to work points on an underside of each of the first and second sloped members. The article of manufacture can be assembled on the ground at a construction site from prefabricated units shipped together in parallel planar orientation in a shipping container to provide a truss unit for forming the roof of a structure.
Wheeled shipping cart with stackable trays
A wheeled shipping/transport cart includes a cart frame that supports a plurality of wheels. The cart frame supports a plurality of stackable trays. The trays include a tray frame with opposed end members, a plurality of longitudinal support members disposed between the opposed end members, and a plurality of upright members nesting with upright members of an adjacent tray. A support structure is disposed between the opposed end members to form an arc corresponding to a curved surface of an article to be supported by the support structure. A pin is received through each of the upright members of the plurality of stackable trays to retain the stackable trays in a stacked configuration.
Delivery vehicle with a mobile attachment
System, delivery vehicle and delivery container, wherein the delivery container for accommodation by a delivery vehicle has a plurality of compartments, wherein the compartments are accessible from the outside and each compartment is designed to accommodate a plurality of packages. Furthermore, a plurality of closure elements are provided for closing the compartments and a connecting element is provided for connection to a delivery vehicle.
Apparatus and method for protectively covering temperature sensitive products
A system for protecting temperature sensitive products. The system comprises a cover that fits over a product. The cover has a first component, a second component, and a closure system. The first component covers the top of the product and at least a portion of a first side of the product, and the second component covers at least a portion of the other sides of the product. The closure system closes openings between the first component and the second component and tightens the cover around the product. The cover is removable from the product by releasing the closure system and pulling the second component of the cover in a horizontal or downward direction away from the first side of the product.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PACKAGING AND TRANSPORTING BULK MATERIALS
Apparatus, systems, and methods for housing a bulk material within a flexible container are described herein. In some embodiments, a method includes maintaining a flexible container in an expanded configuration to define an interior volume. A bulk material is conveyed into the interior volume of the expanded flexible container. The flexible container is then moved from the expanded configuration to a collapsed configuration, such that movement of the bulk material within the interior volume is limited.
Volume Adjustable Container System
The present disclosure provides several novel improvements to freight storage and transportation services. In one detailed though non-limiting aspect, methods and means for safely and efficiently adjusting the interior volume space of an otherwise fixed-volume storage and transportation container are provided.
TEMPORARY BULKHEAD FOR SHIPPING CONTAINER
A temporary bulkhead locking member comprising a unitary length of rigid material that is formed into a predetermined profile extending longitudinally along the length thereof. The profile provides first and second channels into which the leading edges of first and second bulkhead doors may removably engage with the locking member located between the door leading edges. The bulkhead doors are oriented to form an obtuse angle with each other with the angle apex pointing inward of the container when in the engaged position with the locking member.
Convertible support structures for shipping large machinery
A progressive shipping stand includes a stage one assembly, and a stage two assembly. The stage one assembly and the stage two assembly together define a first profile, and the stage two assembly alone defines a second profile, smaller than the first profile. The stage two assembly may be attachable directly to a load. The stage two assembly is operable independently in a discrete support configuration and is selectively cooperable with the stage one assembly in a full support configuration. The shipping support allows for large machinery such as a turbine or the like to meet at least one shipping criteria that would not otherwise be feasible using a standard shipping support.
