An alignment tool device for use in aligning a manway cover to a manway body/flange during installation of the manway cover includes a first plate with an L-shape has body with a pair of holes and a first tongue extending transversely from the plate. A second plate with an inverted-L shape has a body with a pair of holes and a second tongue extending transversely from the plate. The first plate is oriented substantially parallel to and opposing the second plate with the first tongue extending parallel to and overlapping the second tongue, where the first and second tongues extend in opposite directions. A height adjuster displaces the first plate relative to the second plate by adjustable engagement of the tongues.

Thief hatch monitoring system

The present invention is directed to a device and system for monitoring the closure state of a hatch. A pressure sensor is positioned between the upper sealing ring of the hatch lid and the lower sealing ring of the flange, adjacent to or within the pressure gasket. In the open position, force sensor detects little force between the upper and lower sealing rings, in the closed position, the sensors detects an increase in force, but in the closed and latched position, the force sensor detects much higher force between the upper and lower sealing rings. The force sensor is electrically coupled to a monitor unit that communicates the force readings (either as raw or processed data) to remote locations such as data/processing remote centers, clouds, or portable devices. Cry-out alarms may be employed to alert operators when a hatch is open or not securely latched.

Adjustable spill containment system

A tank collar has an adjustable mounting surface for a containment sump, such that the containment sump may be adjusted on the tank collar to be substantially plumb, even if the tank collar itself is not plumb. In particular, the containment sump wall is angularly adjustable with respect to the tank collar, which is fixed to an underground storage tank (UST). This angular adjustability facilitates a method of installation in which imperfect angular orientation of the tank collar and UST may be compensated for by angular adjustment of the containment sump wall. During and after such angular adjustment, a consistent seal between the containment sump wall and the tank collar is maintained, such as in the form of a continuous line of contact around the circumference of the interface between the tank collar and the containment sump wall.

DOME COVER

A dome cover assembly for automatically opening and closing a through-opening. The dome cover includes at least one reach-around element on one of a cover and flange. The reach-around element at least partially encloses, in a first rotational position, the other of the cover and the flange on a side facing away from the first element. The other of the cover and flange has a recess and, in the first rotational position, the reach-around element engages behind the recess in a first distanced position of the cover and the flange. The reach-around element does not engage behind the recess in a second closer position of the cover and the flange.

A thief hatch assembly for a storage tank includes a housing and a cover that rests on an upper surface of the housing to seal and maintain a pressure within the storage tank. The thief hatch cover is configured to open at a predetermined set pressure to relieve excess pressure from the storage tank. The thief hatch assembly is attached to the storage tank using blind threaded mounting holes to prevent escape of gases from the storage tank through the mounting holes. In one embodiment, the blind threaded holes are provided in a flange adapter that mounts between the thief hatch housing and the storage tank. In another embodiment, the blind threaded holes are provided in a flange adapter that is welded to the storage tank. In another embodiment, the blind threaded holes are provided in the base of the thief hatch housing. Seals are provided between the mounting surfaces.

SECTIONAL PANEL TANK
20220161993 · 2022-05-26 ·

A sectional panel tank comprises one or more side wads that are joined together in forming the sectional panel tank. One of the side wall comprises a first unit panel having a first extension at a first edge of the first unit panel and a second unit panel having a second extension at a second edge of the second unit panel. By combing the second extension to the second extension, the second unit panel is joined to the first unit panel for providing a continuous surface of the side wall. No gasket is needed between the first extension and the second extension. A method of making the sectional panel tank is also disclosed. A method of making prefabricated unit panels with lining sheets is further disclosed for the sectional panel tank.
