DENTAL RETRACTOR
20190038379 · 2019-02-07 ·

A dental retractor comprises an elongated body having a first axis, a second axis and a third axis, each being orthogonal to each other. The first axis extends longitudinally from a proximal end to a distal end. The first axis and the second axis define a first plane and a width of the elongated body. The first axis and the third axis define a second plane and a thickness of the elongated body. The elongated body includes a blade extending from the distal end and lying substantially in the first plane; and a wing extending from the blade and lying at an angle relative to the first plane.

DENTAL INSTRUMENT FOR RESTORATIVE PROCEDURES

This invention presents respect for the adjacent tooth by providing an instrument and method that presses the matrix band against the adjacent tooth, and presents inventive examples of the concave shape of its prongs (to match the convex contour of the adjacent tooth) and the hinged couplings that translate well the clinician's personal efforts to press against the adjacent tooth in what are otherwise, awkward ergonomic angles. By moving the mechanical levers of his own body more proximate the treated tooth and by using a stabilizing arm that establishes a fulcra point of stability in the tooth adjacent to the treated tooth, the clinician can better achieve the objectives of good physiologic fit of the matrix band with the adjacent tooth.

DIRECT DENTAL BRIDGE

An impression taker captures an impression of preparation cut in abutment teeth. The impression taker includes; a rigid body supporting a first arm and a second arm. The first arm has a first longitudinal end configured to take an impression of a preparation cut in a first abutment tooth, and the second arm has a second longitudinal end configured to take an impression in a second abutment tooth. In addition, a reinforcement combination supports a dental bridge and an elongate proximal bar supports a dental bridge. The impression taker and the reinforcement bar combination can be used to produce a direct dental bridge.

Dental Restoration Molds

A custom tool for forming a dental restoration in a mouth of a patient includes a custom tool for forming a dental restoration in a mouth of a patient comprising: a mold body for a patient-specific, customized fit with the facial side and the lingual side of at least two adjacent teeth of the patient, and a flexible film, wherein the mold body is configured to combine with the flexible film to form a mold cavity encompassing missing tooth structure of at least one tooth to be restored.

Dental Restoration Molds

A tool for forming a dental restoration includes a mold body configured to combine with a tooth of a patient to define a mold cavity encompassing at least a portion of desired tooth structure of the tooth. In some examples, the portion of desired tooth structure defines an interproximal surface of the tooth. The mold body may include, in some examples, a base member configured to provide a customized fit with at least one tooth of the patient to attach the mold body to the at least one tooth, and an interproximal member extending from the base member and configured to be disposed between adjacent teeth of the patient when the base member is fit over the at least one tooth. The interproximal member defines a surface of the mold cavity.

A dental separator device includes an elastic body having a first end and a second end. A first surface engager is connected to the first end of the body. The first surface engager includes a first distal section and a first mesial section and a notch between the first distal section and the first mesial section. The first distal section and the first mesial section each include a pair of spaced apart hands. A second surface engager is connected to the second end of the body. The second surface engager includes a second distal section and a second mesial section, and a notch between the second distal section and the second mesial section. The second distal section and the second mesial section each include a pair of spaced apart hands. The hands are for engaging teeth and/or for creating adaptation pressure on a dental matrix stabilizer and/or dental matrix.
