Technologies are described for devices and methods to utilize an ingredient cartridge assembly. The devices may comprise a cooking pot, a heat source, a loading track, a propulsion system, a loading compartment, and a controller. The loading compartment may be located along the loading track. The controller may be in communication with the heat source and the propulsion system. The propulsion system may be configured to receive an ingredient cartridge assembly including a cartridge. A protective film on the cartridge may be contacted with the propulsion system. The propulsion system may pull the protective film to peel the protective film from the cartridge and slide the cartridge along the loading track towards the loading compartment. An ingredient inside of the cartridge may deposit into the loading compartment as the cartridge passes over the loading compartment. The loading compartment may be configured to deposit the ingredient into the cooking pot.

Method of making a blister package lid

A lid for a blister package has a continuous pattern of wire on an adhesive surface of a substrate. The continuous pattern has multiple detector segments, and the detector segments have respective destructible portions of wire at locations on the substrate corresponding to cavities of a blister sheet. Each detector segment has an outer connector portion and an inner connector portion. The outer connector portion and the inner connector portion of each detector segment are adjacent, and pairs of successive detector segments are connected by the inner connector portion of the one detector segment and the outer connector portion of the next detector segment. The continuous pattern of wire is severed at the outer connector portions and inner connector portions of the plurality of detector segments in order to disconnects the detector segments one from another, and form terminal ends of the detector segments.

HARD TAG APPLICATOR

Systems and methods for coupling a tag to an item. The methods comprise: dispensing the tag from a tag feeder of a tag applicator; performing first operations by the tag applicator to mechanically move the tag into a nest of the tag applicator; determining if a given criteria is met based on feedback information received from at least one of a user of the tag applicator and a sensor provided with the tag applicator; and performing second operations by the tag applicator to couple the tag to the item, when a determination is made that the given criteria is met.

A package in an aspect of the present invention includes: a package body having a receiving cavity for receiving a cavity item; a sheet for sealing the receiving cavity; a conducting wire formed on the sheet so as to pass above the sealed opening portion of the receiving cavity; and a wireless communication device formed on the sheet so as to be connected to the conducting wire. The wireless communication device transmits a signal including information which differs between before and after the conducting wire together with the sheet is cut as a result of opening the receiving cavity. The information transmitted from the wireless communication device is read by a reader. The package and the reader are used for a cavity item management system.

Systems, apparatus, and methods for detecting an environmental anomaly and initiating an enhanced automatic response using elements of a wireless node network using ID nodes and environmental threshold conditions per ID node

Systems and methods are described for monitoring, detecting, and initiating a response to an environmental anomaly within a shipping container of packages involves sensor-based ID nodes, a command node and an external transceiver on a transit vehicle. Each ID node generates and broadcasts sensor data on environmental conditions proximate the respective ID node within the shipping container. The command node detects the sensor data from each ID node and compares it with locally maintained context data (an environmental threshold condition) for that ID node to detect the environmental anomaly when sensor data exceeds a respective threshold condition. The command node then generates a layered alert notification related to the environmental anomaly identifying a targeted mediation recipient and targeted mediation action, and establishing a mediation response priority. The command node initiates a mediation response related to the targeted mediation action by transmitting the layered alert notification transmitted to the external transceiver.
