The film portion includes a set of one or more electrically conductive traces in which each electrically conductive trace is associated with a respective compartment of the set of discrete compartments. Each electrically conductive trace of the set of electrically conductive traces forms a respective circuit loop that has a terminal end that terminates within an interface region of the film portion to collectively form a termination pattern. At least one of the package or the film portion have two or more alignment ports defined therein that are arranged according to an alignment pattern, each alignment port passing through at least one of the package or film portion.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR UNRESPONSIVE ID NODE MONITORING FOR AN ENVIRONMENTAL ANOMALY
20200094091 · 2020-03-26 ·

Systems for enhanced detection and response to an environmental anomaly in a shipping container may include wireless ID nodes within a shipping container, and a command node mounted to the container that communicates with the ID nodes and a transit vehicle transceiver. The command node's memory has program code, a communication profile and context data for each the ID nodes. The command node is adapted to monitor the ID nodes for an unanticipated ceased broadcasting from any of the ID nodes per the communication profiles; detect the anomaly when the number of ID nodes in the unanticipated ceased broadcasting state exceeds a threshold setting on the command node; generate a layered alert notification identifying a mediation recipient and mediation action, and establishing a mediation response priority based upon the ceased broadcasting ID nodes; and initiate the mediation response by transmitting the notification to the external transceiver.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ADAPTIVE MONITORING FOR AN ENVIRONMENTAL ANOMALY IN A SHIPPING CONTAINER USING ELEMENTS OF A WIRELESS NODE NETWORK
20200094092 · 2020-03-26 ·

Adaptive wireless node-implemented systems and methods are described for detecting an environmental anomaly related to a shipping container and reporting a layered alert notification to an external transceiver on a transit vehicle transporting the shipping container. The system has ID nodes within the container (a portion of which being associated with objects transported in the container), a primary command node within the container, and a designated survivor command node mounted to the container. The primary command node monitors signal activity from the ID nodes, identifies the environmental anomaly based upon the signal activity, generates the alert notification (identifying a targeted mediation recipient and mediation action, and establishing a mediation response priority), and transmits the alert notification to the external transceiver to initiate a mediation response. The designated survivor command node takes over as the primary command node when unable to communicate with the primary command node.

Enhanced Shipping Container Apparatus having Integrated Fire Suppression and Systems Using the Same for Detecting and Responding to an Environmental Anomaly within the Container
20200095059 · 2020-03-26 ·

An enhanced shipping container apparatus that maintains packages is described having integrated fire suppression. The apparatus has a container base supporting the packages, multiple container walls coupled to the container base, and a container top coupled to each of the container walls. A fire suppression panel is integrated as part of one or more of the walls and top portion, and has a support sheet of fire resistant material; an interior exposed sheet of temperature sensitive material; a sealed boundary connecting the support sheet and interior exposed sheet on peripheral edges (where the sealed boundary, support sheet and interior exposed sheet define a holding cavity), and integrated fire suppression material in the holding cavity. The temperature sensitive material of the interior exposed sheet releases the integrated fire suppressant material from within the holding cavity when the temperature sensitive material of the interior exposed sheet is exposed to a threshold temperature.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL MONITORING FOR AN ENVIRONMENTAL ANOMALY WITHIN A SHIPPING CONTAINER WITH RESPONSIVE REPORTING TO AN EXTERNAL TRANSCEIVER AND INITIATING A MEDIATION RESPONSE DIRECTLY WITH AN ONBOARD FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM
20200095061 · 2020-03-26 ·

Systems and method are described for detecting and responding to an environmental anomaly in a shipping container transported by a transit vehicle having an onboard fire suppression system. Systems generally have a set of ID nodes within the container and another set outside the container, and a command node mounted to the container. The command node's processor is programmed to monitor both sets of ID nodes per their respective ID node communication profiles for unanticipated cessation of ID node broadcasting, detect an unresponsive group of ID nodes based on the monitoring, determining if the group includes ID nodes from which set of ID nodes, identifying the anomaly when the unresponsive group's size exceeds a threshold setting, generate an alert notification, and transmit the alert notification to the external transceiver or the fire suppression system directly based on an alert level setting so as to initiate different levels of mediation response.
