Pallet and logistic system
10549885 · 2020-02-04 · ·

A pallet has a deck, a skid and a plurality of blocks, spacing the skid from the deck. The blocks comprise spacer portions and sleeve portions, wherein the sleeve portions may extend above and below the spacer portions. The deck and skid peripheral edges are cut away such that the deck and skid can be recessed with the blocks. The pallet constructed in this way can advantageously be made in any conventional size to meet the relevant norm or standard, while benefitting from the fact that the sleeve portions protect the edges of the deck and/or skid from impact. Furthermore, any impact imparted on the blocks is transmitted by the respective sleeve to the deck and/or skid. The elements of the pallet are connected without mechanical fasteners and the pallet can be easily repaired by removal and replacement of individual elements. A logistic system is also described.

INTERACTIVE CLOSURE DEVICE AND BEVERAGE CONTAINER
20200037138 · 2020-01-30 ·

An interactive beverage container includes a beverage container that defines an opening which may be sealed by a closure. The closure may further include circuity that is configured to transmit data to a mobile device. When the closure is in a closed configuration with the closure attached to the opening, the circuitry does not transmit data to the mobile device and when the closure is in an open configuration with the closure removed from the opening, the circuitry transmits data to the mobile device. The data may include nutritional information, marketing materials, videos, track loyalty programs, and/or provide games or contests.

Controlled environment shipment container and tracking method
10546266 · 2020-01-28 · ·

A shipment container for perishable food items enables a receiver of the shipment container to track the temperature of the perishable food items during shipment and in some cases, the time and day of harvest and/or of shipment. The receive may use a remote electronic device, such as a mobile telephone, to track the shipment. The shipment container has phase change material that is used to control the temperature of the perishable food item during transient to the receiver. A phase change material is configured at least partially around a product compartment for receiving the perishable food item. The phase change material or modular temperature control compartment may be selected based on the type of perishable food item or based on the temperature of harvest. The shipment container may be locked and require input of an identification code to unlock the container upon delivery.

ENHANCED PRODUCT PACKAGING

A packaging system comprises: a package forming a set of discrete compartments; and a film portion interfacing with the package. The film portion includes a set of one or more electrically conductive traces in which each electrically conductive trace is associated with a respective compartment of the set of discrete compartments. Each electrically conductive trace of the set of electrically conductive traces forms a respective circuit loop that has a terminal end that terminates within an interface region of the film portion to collectively form a termination pattern. At least one of the package or the film portion have two or more alignment ports defined therein that are arranged according to an alignment pattern, each alignment port passing through at least one of the package or film portion.

AUTOMATICALLY ACTIVATING A TRANSACTION CARD BY DETECTING A CHANGE ASSOCIATED WITH A PACKAGE THAT CARRIES THE TRANSACTION CARD

A first device may be implemented within a package that is for transporting a second device requiring activation. The first device may determine whether the package has been opened based on whether a trigger condition has been satisfied. The trigger condition may be satisfied when a value identifying an amount of an electrical property of a conductive structure sealing the package satisfies a first threshold value or when a value identifying an amount of a measurable property associated with the package satisfies a second threshold value. The first device may provide, to a server, a request to activate the second device based on determining that the package has been opened. The request may cause the server to initiate an activation procedure and to activate the second device if the activation procedure succeeds.

A receptacle for a consumable material, such as a wire spool 2, to be loaded into a machine, such as a wire tying machine 18, comprises first and second indicating means 6, 12 for identifying the receptacle, wherein one of the indicating means 6 is separable from the receptacle.

Cap seal

A cap seal includes a cylindrical member covering a side face of the container, and a top face including an IC tag and connected to a first end that is one of two axial ends of the cylindrical member to close the cylindrical member at the first end. The cylindrical member includes a metal portion disposed on the side face of the container, and at least one insulating portion extending from the first end. The cylindrical member forms a closed annular shape in a circumferential direction of the cylindrical member, and the metal portion and the insulating portion are joined to each other.

FOOD WARMING SYSTEM
20200010259 · 2020-01-09 ·

The embodiments disclose a method including warming food in an integral heat tray insert of a food container, generating heat in the food container using electrical impedance of a plurality of heat dispersing elements, using a control printed circuit board assembly coupled to a power button for activating and controlling electrical components including the plurality of heat dispersing elements, adjusting heat temperatures from the plurality of heat dispersing elements for warming food to a comfortable and safe heat level, using at least one rechargeable battery pack coupled to the control printed circuit board assembly with a power button for activating electrical components including the plurality of heat dispersing elements, and transmitting food status information to a user and receiving user instructions from a user digital device using a food warming system application.

RFID TAGS OPERATING IN THE HIGH FREQUENCY BAND
20200006840 · 2020-01-02 ·

A high-field emission tolerant RFID tag device that may be secured to a product to be cooked, heated, reheated and/or thawed in a heating apparatus such as, but not limited to, a microwave oven and that does not need to be removed from the product before initiating the heating process. The RFID device is microwave safe and does not damage the product or food item to which it is attached during the microwave process, and may contain data to control the microwave process. The microwave safe RFID tag comprises a split ring (or shield) conductor formed on one side of a substrate (or dielectric), a coil antenna conductor formed on an opposite side of the substrate, and a RFID chip. The split ring conductor capacitively couples to the coil antenna conductor via the dielectric and a gap in the split ring conductor prevents arcing.

HIGH-FIELD EMISSION TOLERANT RFID TAGS ATTACHED TO PRODUCTS TO CONTROL COOKING PROCESS
20200005110 · 2020-01-02 ·

A microwave tolerant RFID tag is disclosed that does not need to be removed from a product, such as a food item, before thawing, heating, reheating or cooking the product in a microwave oven, but that can provide data to control the microwave process. The microwave tolerant RFID tag comprises at least one antenna designed to operate at one or more frequencies and an RFID chip carrying data related to the process the microwave oven is required to perform. The data on the RFID chip is read by an RFID reader system to authorize the cooking process of the product.
