A packaging for a product comprising a container including a first body layer and a second body layer connected at a fold, the first and second body layers capable of collapsing to a first position and expanding to a second position, and one or more of said first and second body layers defining a void, and a cover including a first side and a second side, and the first and second body layers are configured to collapse to the first position between the first and second sides of the cover.

A method for confirming regulatory entity registration of a consumer product and verifying age of a user of the consumer product includes coupling a radio frequency tag to the consumer product, storing in a database a record for each of a plurality of consumer products, and a record for each of a plurality of consumers, executing an application on a computing device for reading identifying data from the radio frequency tag and transmitting said data to a server that accesses a record in the database that corresponds to the product and transmitting a confirmation of regulatory entity registration of the consumer product to the application, wherein the application further reads user identification data and transmits it to the server which calculates an age of the user based on the user identification data, and if the age of the user is above a predefined age, then storing the user identification data.

A closure element for closing a container comprises an inner cap member coupled with a mouth of the container, an outer cap member movably coupled to the inner cap member, and a transponder having a chip and an antenna housed between the inner and outer cap members. The closure element further comprises two first capacitor plates connected with the chip, which are attached to one of a top wall of the inner cap member and a top wall of the outer cap member, and a second capacitor plate attached to the other of the top wall of the inner cap member and the top wall of the outer cap member, such that a relative movement of the outer cap member and the inner cap member switches the closure element between a first configuration and a second configuration having a different capacitance between the first and second capacitor plates.

According to an embodiment, a stack-of-sheets package includes: a stack of sheets; a conductive sheet; and a package material. The stack of sheets is obtained by stacking printing sheets, each of the printing sheets having a printable surface and including a wireless tag. The conductive sheet is disposed at an end portion of the stack of sheets in a stacking direction of the printing sheets. The conductive sheet has a conductive region that overlaps with the wireless tag as viewed from the stacking direction. The package material packages the stack of sheets.

An apparatus and method for secure shipment of goods monitors location and status with multiple sensors embedded in the package of the shipment container. Encryption methods help ensure the shipped goods are authentic, and that the goods were not tampered with during shipment. Information placed in an RFID tag may provide the user with the history of performance during transit to ensure the quality of the goods from the shipment site to the receiving site.

The pallet assembly comprises a top plate, a load-force plate, a runner, and a plurality of load blocks disposed between the load force plate and the runner. The load-force plate is disposed between the top plate and the runner and increases the load bearing capacity of the top plate while adding strength to the pallet assembly. The pallet assembly includes a biocidal coating material that protects shipment of foodstuffs and other products requiring sanitary conditions, preventing the growth of mold, fungi, bacteria, and viruses. The pallet assembly includes a pallet integrated module positioned between the top plate and the runner, that collects journey data on location, temperature, humidity and shock along with store forward capability during not connected times of each journey of the pallet assembly. The load-force plate has either an X-form configuration or a cross-form configuration. In one preferred embodiment, an antenna is embedded in the cross-form configuration.

Systems and methods are described for securely monitoring a shipping container for an environmental anomaly using elements of a wireless node network of sensor-based ID nodes disposed within the container and a command node associated with the container. The method has the command node identifying which of the ID nodes are confirmed as trusted sensors based upon a security credential specific to each of the ID nodes; monitoring only the confirmed ID nodes for sensor data broadcast those ID nodes; detecting the anomaly based upon the sensor data from at least one of the confirmed ID nodes; automatically generating an alert notification related to the detected environmental anomaly for the shipping container; and transmitting the alert notification to the external transceiver to initiate a mediation response related to the detected environmental anomaly.

A securable clip includes a first elongated rectangular portion and a second elongated rectangular portion connected along a common edge. The clip includes at least one locking peg, at least one receiving hole configured to receive the at least one locking peg, and a frangible portion. The frangible portion provides a visual indication that the clip has been opened. The releasing of the locking peg prevents the clip from being reclosed, reused, or sealed again.

A container includes a base. A plurality of walls extends upward from the base. At least one handle is located on one of the plurality of walls. A slot is in one of the base, the plurality of walls or the at least one handle. The slot is at least partially defined by a pair of opposing walls with at least one retention projection extending from each of the pair of opposing walls.
