DETECTION OF SEAL INTEGRITY ON PRODUCTS USING RFID
A system and method for determining and communicating the status of a sealable container. The system comprises a seal status detection component that is positioned adjacent to or on a lid comprising a deflectable component. The lid engages the sealable container to form a seal. The seal status detection component moves between a first state of operation where there is a gap between the seal status detection component and the deflectable component of the lid, and a second state of operation where the seal status detection component is adjacent to or in contact with the deflectable component of the lid. The seal status detection component has a first frequency response to interrogation by a reader when the seal is intact, and a second frequency response when the seal is broken.
METAL CAP WITH RFID TAG AND CONTAINER COMPRISING SAME
A metal cap is provided with an RFID tag that includes a metal cap including a cylindrical main body part, a top plate part formed at one end of the cylindrical main body part, and an opening part formed at the other end of the cylindrical main body part, and an RFID tag disposed on the metal cap. The RFID tag includes an RFIC element disposed in the metal cap, and a loop antenna connected to the RFIC element. At least a portion of a loop opening of the loop antenna extends in a circumferential direction R of the metal cap while being exposed from an opening edge of the opening part of the metal cap to the outside of the metal cap.
Security packaging
A security packaging provides a structure for providing evidence of package tampering. The packaging includes a first panel having an opening, and a foil label at least partially overlaying the opening and at least partially adhered to an insert member. Upon separation of the insert member from the packaging, at least a portion of the foil label is separated from the foil label thereby leaving a visual void in the opening indicating that the separation has occurred.
LIQUID LEVEL MEASURING DEVICE
A liquid level measuring device, comprising: at least one Time-of-Flight (TOF) ranging sensor for enabling to obtain the distance between the at least one sensor and the liquid level within a liquid retaining device that has a narrow neck portion, wherein each TOF ranging sensor is configured to emit a narrow width light ray, thereby enabling to measure the distance without interference from the neck portion of the liquid retaining device; a controlling unit for collecting data in accordance with the measurements of the at least one TOF ranging sensor; and a wireless communication module for forwarding to a remote computing device the collected data or data relative to the collected data.
METHODS, SYSTEMS, APPARATUS AND ARTICLES OF MANUFACTURE TO MONITOR A PRODUCT PACKAGE
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture for a blister package are disclosed. An example blister package includes a cavity and a lid having both an open position to provide access to the cavity and a closed position to restrict access to the cavity. The blister package also includes a sensing circuit disposed at a first location on the blister package. The sensing circuit detects when the lid on the cavity is in the open position, exhibits a first output state when the lid on the cavity is in the open position. The blister package also includes a processor disposed at a second location on the blister package. The processor is in communication with the sensing circuit and generates a signal indicating the cavity has been accessed when the sensing circuit exhibits the first output state.
MOLDED PLASTIC PALLET HAVING A SNAP IN SIGNAL TRANSMITTER AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
A twin-sheet, thermoformed pallet is configured with a bottom-opening recess shaped to receive and hold in place a signal transmitting device. The recess has undercuts that allow the device to be snapped in. The recess has a lateral extrusion for a tool to pry the device out for replacement or servicing.
HARD TAG APPLICATOR
Systems and methods for coupling a tag to an item. The methods comprise: dispensing the tag from a tag feeder of a tag applicator; performing first operations by the tag applicator to mechanically move the tag into a nest of the tag applicator; determining if a given criteria is met based on feedback information received from at least one of a user of the tag applicator and a sensor provided with the tag applicator; and performing second operations by the tag applicator to couple the tag to the item, when a determination is made that the given criteria is met.
VESSEL COMPRISING A SENSOR DEVICE AND COMMUNICATION MEANS
The present invention relates to a vessel comprising a device, said device being a sensor or an information storage device or both, and a communication means to transfer data from said vessel to a receiver. The present application also relates to a system, for example a storage system, comprising such vessel.
FITMENT ASSEMBLY FOR FOOD OR BEVERAGE CONTAINERS
Fitment assembly (10) for one or a plurality of food or beverage containers (20), each container comprising at least one ingredient for the preparation of a food or beverage product, the fitment assembly (10) comprising at least one fluid inlet (12) communicating with at least one injection hole (14) through which a fluid can be supplied into the food or beverage containers, and at least one dispensing outlet (13) through which the food or beverage product is dispensed; the fitment assembly (10) comprising two parts rotatable relative to each other such that this relative rotation opens or closes, totally or up to a certain degree, the at least one dispensing outlet (13). The invention further relates to a pack (40) comprising a fitment assembly (10) as described and at least one food or beverage container (20) to which the fitment assembly (10) is attached. The invention also relates to a machine (50) for preparing a food or beverage product from a pack (40) as described, the machine comprising means (30) designed for engaging with the fitment assembly (10) and for injecting a fluid through the at least one fluid inlet (12).
Pallet
A pallet has a deck, a skid and a plurality of blocks, spacing the skid from the deck. The blocks comprise spacer portions and sleeve portions, wherein the sleeve portions may extend above and below the spacer portions. The deck and skid peripheral edges are cut away such that the deck and skid can be recessed with the blocks. The pallet constructed in this way can advantageously be made in any conventional size to meet the relevant norm or standard, while benefitting from the fact that the sleeve portions protect the edges of the deck and/or skid from impact. Furthermore, any impact imparted on the blocks is transmitted by the respective sleeve to the deck and/or skid. The elements of the pallet are connected without mechanical fasteners and the pallet can be easily repaired by removal and replacement of individual elements. A logistic system is also described.
