Automatically activating a transaction card by detecting a change associated with a package that carries the transaction card
A first device may be implemented within a package that is for transporting a second device requiring activation. The first device may determine whether the package has been opened based on whether a trigger condition has been satisfied. The trigger condition may be satisfied when a value identifying an amount of an electrical property of a conductive structure sealing the package satisfies a first threshold value or when a value identifying an amount of a measurable property associated with the package satisfies a second threshold value. The first device may provide, to a server, a request to activate the second device based on determining that the package has been opened. The request may cause the server to initiate an activation procedure and to activate the second device if the activation procedure succeeds.
CONVEYABLE SORTATION BAG
A method of sorting a first subset of items in an order handling center, wherein at least a majority of the items of the first subset are sized below a predetermined size limit. The method includes directing the first subset of the items through an opening into a bag having a plurality of panels of flexible material coupled together at a plurality of seams. The method includes causing the bag to assume a substantially cuboid shape as the bag is filled to capacity with the first subset of items and stacking the bag on a pallet at a staging destination within the order handling center. The staging destination is associated with a delivery route from the order handling center.
CONNECTED SENSOR SUBSTRATE FOR BLISTER PACKS
A blister pack for dispensing medication comprises a substantially flat backing, a plurality of blisters formed on the backing, first and second sets of conductive traces applied to the backing, a plurality of breakable resistive traces applied to the backing, and a controller adapted to detect breakage of the resistive traces under the blisters by measuring the voltage across each of either the first set of conductive traces or the second set of conductive traces. The blisters are arranged in a grid comprising rows of blisters and columns of blisters. Each of the first set of conductive traces is associated with one of the rows of blisters. Each of the second set of conductive traces is associated with one of the columns of blisters. For each blister, one or more of the resistive traces are applied to the backing under the blister to form a subcircuit, and the subcircuit connects one of the first set of conductive traces with one of the second set of conductive traces.
Foldover for loss prevention and improved merchandising
An anti-theft display hanger comprising a foldover which when engaged allows for the display of fashion jewelry, traditionally necklaces, pendants and necklaces, to be more secure, harder to steal, and permanently held in a desired position until disengaged while still presently enclosed merchandise in the most aesthetically, desirable manner for the consumer.
ANTI-DIVERSION, ANTI-COUNTERFEITING PRODUCT PACKAGING
In one aspect, the present invention features an identification tag as described herein. In a related aspect, the invention features packaging for a product that includes the identification tag and is useful in discouraging and/or detecting counterfeiting and product diversion.
COOKING DEVICE UTILIZING INGREDIENT CARTRIDGE ASSEMBLY
Technologies are described for devices and methods to utilize an ingredient cartridge assembly. The devices may comprise a cooking pot, a heat source, a loading track, a propulsion system, a loading compartment, and a controller. The loading compartment may be located along the loading track. The controller may be in communication with the heat source and the propulsion system. The propulsion system may be configured to receive an ingredient cartridge assembly including a cartridge. A protective film on the cartridge may be contacted with the propulsion system. The propulsion system may pull the protective film to peel the protective film from the cartridge and slide the cartridge along the loading track towards the loading compartment. An ingredient inside of the cartridge may deposit into the loading compartment as the cartridge passes over the loading compartment. The loading compartment may be configured to deposit the ingredient into the cooking pot.
Integrally, Extrusion Blow Molded Container, Label and RFID Tag
An improved method for molding a plastic container within a mold including an RFID tag to generate a container which leaves a mold having an RFID tag bonded between the container and a label. This method provides for an improved integrally, extrusion blow molded container, label and RFID tag combination.
PROCESSING OF SEEDS OF FRUIT
This invention relates to the processing and tracing of harvested seeds of fruit. More specifically, this invention relates to a seed processing system 100 comprising a seed processing container 10, 10.1 which includes a housing 12 defining a cavity 14 and an opening 15 that is in communication with the cavity 14; a closure 16 displaceable between an open position wherein the opening 15 is open and the seeds of fruit can be placed in or removed from the cavity 14, and a closed position wherein the opening 15 is closed to form a closed cavity 14 and the seeds of fruit cannot be placed in or removed from the cavity 14; and a closure sensor 17 for sensing when the closure 16 is displaced to its closed position, and generating closure position data in response to sensing displacement of the closure 16 to its closed position.
CAPSULE, IN PARTICULAR FOR BEVERAGES AND METHOD FOR FILLING ASSOCIATED
The present disclosure refers to a capsule (100), in particular a capsule (100) for beverages, comprising a lateral wall (101), a head portion (102), and a bottom portion (103), the head portion (102) and the bottom portion (103) being joined to the lateral wall (101), wherein said lateral wall (101), said head portion (102) and said bottom portion (103) detect an inner cavity (100c) in use insulated from the outer environment and configured to contain, in use, a substance at least partially fluid and/or powdery, in particular destined to produce a beverage in the form of additivated liquid the substance thereof represents a determined part in weight, wherein said capsule (100) for beverages is configured to withstand within said inner cavity (100c) a predetermined pressure produced by said substance, and wherein at least one among said head portion (102) and/or said bottom portion (103) and/or said lateral wall (101) comprises an opening portion configured to be perforated by a perforator (202) of a capsules opening device (300) determining an opening of the inner cavity (100c) suitable to cause an outflow of the substance, said outflow being at least partially produced by the pressure within said inner cavity (100c).
