Dental isolator for protecting the tongue and cheek during dental treatment
An isolating retractor instrument to protect a tongue and a cheek of a patient during a dental treatment. The isolating instrument includes a first isolating pad (A) for the tongue, and a second isolating pad (B) for the cheek. Each of the first isolating pad and the second isolating pad having a first (1) layer contacting and adhering to oral tissue, the first layer including an absorbing material for absorbing liquids, a second layer (2) including a fast-absorbing material which absorbs the liquids and holds the liquids, a third layer (3) adjacent the second layer, the third layer (3) including a reinforced, flexible material for supporting and stabilizing a respective isolating pad, and a fourth layer (4) including a reflective, smooth, flexible, and liquid-isolating material positionable to face a plurality of teeth of the patient. A flexible tape connects the first isolating pad and the second isolating pad.

Dental imaging device for colorimetric and/or translucence calibration
An imaging device including a support, a mouth retractor fastened to the support and defining a retractor opening, a colorimetric calibration chart and/or a translucence calibration chart and a light source that is oriented so as to illuminate both the teeth of the patient through the retractor opening and the colorimetric calibration chart and/or the translucence calibration chart. Structure for fastening an image acquisition apparatus to the support in a position in which the acquisition apparatus is oriented so as to receive an image of both the retractor opening and of the colorimetric calibration chart and/or of the translucence calibration chart.

Sulcular guard and method of use
A sulcular guard can be placed into the gingival sulculus surrounding a tooth to collect excess cement resulting from a replacement crown cementation procedure. The semi-rigid sulcular guard can have a generally U shaped cross-section with a central recess configured for collecting and containing the cement. Prior to cementing a crown on a prepared tooth, the guard may be inserted into the gingival sulculus surrounding the tooth. When the crown is pressed onto the tooth, excess cement, which is forced out from the bottom of the crown, can be collected and contained within the recess. Upon completion of the cementation, the guard, and all cement contained therein, may be removed leaving the gingival sulculus free of cement.

DENTAL MOUTHPIECE
A dental mouthpiece is provided that may be attached to a high-suction dental adapter for the purpose of assisting the dental staff during dental procedures through chair-side, hands-free suction, and isolation. Such a mouthpiece may comprise a main body portion, a cheek retractor portion, and a suction connector portion. In an embodiment, the main body portion, cheek retractor portion, and suction connector portion may be molded in one piece, preferably by injection molding. The main body portion has an anterior wall inside the curve and a posterior wall outside the curve, and an at least one connector connecting the anterior wall and the posterior wall. The main body portion has an anterior intervening wall and the posterior intervening wall in between the anterior and posterior walls. The anterior intervening wall and the posterior intervening walls have alternating crests and troughs.
