CHILD-RESISTANT CONTAINER FOR TOBACCO-CONTAINING PRODUCTS
The present disclosure relates to child resistant containers and methods of making same for products made or derived from tobacco, or that otherwise incorporate tobacco, and are intended for human consumption.
CHILD RESISTANT LOCKABLE CONTAINER
A lockable container comprising a sleeve having at least three sidewalls, the sidewalls defining a pocket, the pocket having at least one entrance, and the pocket adapted for receiving and housing a hinged shell, a least one sidewall of the sleeve having a slit; a hinged shell having a lid, a tray hingedly connected to the shell, storage space defined by the tray, and a locking tab disposed on one of the lid or the tray, the hinged shell comprised of a flexible and resilient material; wherein the locking tab is substantially aligned with the slit when the hinged shell is housed within the sleeve, causing the locking tab to protrude through the slit; and wherein the hinged shell is prevented from sliding out of the sleeve unless the locking tab is flexed to disengage the slit.
Child Resistant Paperboard Box
A paperboard box configured in a child-resistant manner includes a paperboard tray, and includes a paperboard over-sleeve that is closed at one end and open at the opposite end, where the paperboard tray is housed within the paperboard over-sleeve, the paperboard tray and the paperboard over-sleeve are locked together by interlocking tabs and where one tab is located on the inside of the paperboard over-sleeve and another tab is located on the outside of the paperboard tray, whereby these two interlocking tabs engage with each other and prevent the paperboard box from being opened through normal force when attempting to slide the paperboard tray out from the end of the paperboard over-sleeve.
CONTAINER WITH SECURITY LOCK
A container with a security lock is provided. The container has a top unit and a bottom unit. The bottom unit may have a first side and a second side wherein the first side and the second side each have a compressible tab. The top unit may have a first opening and a second opening wherein the first opening and the second opening receive a portion of the compression tabs when the top unit is locked to the bottom unit.
Packaging System, Sleeve and Slide Card
A primary package (10; 110; 210; 310;510; 610; 810) for being lockably received in an outer sleeve (700), the primary package comprising a main body panel (12; 112; 212; 312; 512; 612; 812) and a retention tab (14; 114; 214; 314; 512; 612; 812) hingedly connected together along a fold line (17; 117; 217; 317; 517; 617; 817), the retention tab having at least one embossment (18; 118; 218; 318; 518; 618; 818), the fold line having been integrally formed in the primary package.
Child-resistant storage container
The technology disclosed herein includes methods and apparatus of a childproof storage container, which includes a lid and a base portion with seesaw-style latches. The seesaw-style latches are configured to unlock a childproof storage container in a locked position upon simultaneously release. Each seesaw-style latch may include a flared end. In a locked position, the childproof storage container may be unlocked and opened upon depression of the flared end of the seesaw-style latch, which rotates the seesaw-style latch from the lid. Each seesaw-style latch may include a standing rib to prevent over-rotation of each seesaw-style latch and/or a chamfer to facilitate closure. The base portion may include a base portion flange, which includes a plurality of female recesses to receive the plurality of male teeth of a lid flange. The base portion and the lid may include opposing walls that interlock during a closed position and/or a gasket for sealing.
Container
A container has an upper edge, a lateral wall extending around the circumference of the container, and an opening closed by a lid. A latching rim proximate the upper edge latches with a corresponding latching rim on the lid. The latching rims of the container and the lid, respectively, extend at least partially around a circumference of the same. The container lateral wall includes a peripheral skirt having a sub-region extending radially outwardly from the lateral wall. The lid includes a lower lid rim on the outside of the container and at least one extension extending outside the lateral wall of the container. The extension extends below the lower rim of the lid and at least partially penetrates the skirt of the container. The extension and the container include corresponding fixing devices releasable independently of the latching devices formed by the latching rims of the container and the lid.
Child-Resistant Closure
A closure comprises: a base for mounting to a container body neck; a cover; and a hinge coupling the cover to the base. The base comprises: an inner sidewall bearing a feature for engaging the neck; an outer sidewall spaced apart from the inner sidewall; an upper web coupling the inner sidewall to the outer sidewall; first and second apertures in the upper web; and first and second apertures in the outer sidewall. The cover comprises a first tab and a second tab. The cover has a closed condition, wherein: the first tab extends into the first aperture in the upper web; and the second tab extends into the second aperture in the upper web.
Non-cocking convertible child resistant closure
A convertible child resistant closure for use with a container having a threaded portion adjacent the container opening allows a user to select between a child resistant closure and an easily openable closure and includes coaxial inner and outer caps. The inner cap has a cover wall and a side wall. The side wall includes an inner surface having a threaded portion for engagement with a threaded container opening, and an outer surface including a child resistant portion comprising a series of angular abutments extending thereabout and a non-child resistant portion axially offset from said child resistant portion. Features of a side wall of the outer cap selectively engage features of the inner cap side wall in either a configuration for the child resistant closure or a configuration for the easily openable (non-child-resistant) closure.
Child-resistant topical drug applicator and methods of use
Described herein is a child-resistant topical drug applicator and methods of applying a topical pharmaceutical composition to a surface. In one aspect, the child-resistant topical drug applicator comprises a container comprising a connector and a tube configured to contain a topical pharmaceutical composition, a sponge applicator fluidly coupled to the connector, and a child-resistant cap that reversibly couples to the connector and encloses the sponge applicator, the cap having a locked position and an unlocked position. Also described herein are methods of opening and using the child-resistant topical drug applicator.
