DETERMINING USE AND VALIDITY OF VEHICLES THROUGH ACOUSTIC EMISSIONS
20190256263 · 2019-08-22 ·

Arrangements are provided for smart functionality with dumb containers, such as for determining medication adherence, tracking product use, and validating product authenticity. An acoustic emitter is engaged with a container or other vehicle. Opening the container causes the acoustic emitter to produce an acoustic emission, without requiring power, processing capacity, or sensors. A cell phone or other station receives and registers acoustic emissions, such as by logging opening of the container, verifying authenticity of the acoustic emission, communicating with an oversight system, or similar. Data as may be encoded in an acoustic emission may include vehicle detection data (e.g., logging a container being opened), vehicle information (e.g., lot number, contents name), vehicle validation (e.g., valid or counterfeit numerical code), and audible user recognition (e.g., brand jingles, warning sounds).

Child resistant and airtight container

Disclosed herein are modular container systems having child-resistant containers, tray inserts and tray frames. Also disclosed are methods using the modular container systems and methods of storing substances in containers. The containers have a container base and a container cap and provide for child-resistant containers. A user can releasably remove the container cap from container base with a squeeze and lift sequence. For example, the user squeezes opposite sides of the container base, which releases a locking mechanism and allows for removal of the cap by lifting or pulling the container cap off from the container base. The components of the modular container system are modular and stackable. The modular system allow for organized, efficient, accessible and storage of the child-resistant containers. The modular container system also allows for easy counting, sorting and processing of the containers.

Child Resistant Flip Top Cap with Adjustable Viewing Window
20190233184 · 2019-08-01 ·

A new design for a child resistant cap which features a flip open top which opens to reveal a viewing mechanism, which allows magnified viewing of the contents of a container upon which the cap is installed, is presented. The cap allows the content's of a container to be viewed without the necessity of removing the cap from the container. The cap of the present invention includes an outer cap and an inner cap. The outer cap includes a lens concentrically aligned with a viewing window in the inner cap. The outer cap is also equipped with a flip top lid which is operable to cover and uncover the lens and viewing window. The outer and inner caps are equipped with features that make the closure difficult for a child to open.

CONTAINER AND LID WITH AUDIBLE AND TACTILE FEEDBACK

The present invention relates to a container (10) and a lid (12) for food products, wherein the lid produces audible and tactile feedback when the container is closed with the lid. The invention further relates to a method for forming a lid for engagement with a container for food products. According to a first aspect of the invention, a container with a lid comprises a body with a neck (14) surrounding an opening; at least one thread (20) on the neck; at least one thread (16) on the lid for engaging the at least one thread on the neck; and an engagement mechanism (18) on the lid to secure the lid to the body when the lid is in a fully engaged position. Audible and tactile feedback are produced when the lid moves into the fully engaged position.
