MOUTH GUARDS, KITS, AND METHODS
20220273485 · 2022-09-01 · ·

Mouth guards include either an upper member fitting the interior and exterior surfaces of a user's upper dentition, or a lower member fitting similarly adjacent a user's lower dentition, or both. The lower member includes molar extensions projecting away from the lower member. The upper member includes upper molar extensions projecting away from the upper member and toward the lower molar extensions so that when the user bites or clenches, the upper right and lower right extensions impinge on one another, as do the molar upper left and lower left extensions. The upper and lower members have an anterior shape to form a gap ranging from about 5 to about 15 mm and sufficient for the user's tongue to extend into the gap. Methods of using the apparatus and kits as mouth guards.

System for body alignment through correction of malocclusions

A magnetic orthodontic device has two correction appliances. Each of the correction appliances has a linkage portion, a first connecting portion, a second connecting portion, an adhering plate, a neodymium magnet, and a shell. The linkage portion is elongated and has two opposite ends. The first and second connecting portions are respectively disposed at the two opposite ends of the linkage portion. The adhering plate is disposed at the first connecting portion. The neodymium magnet is disposed at the second connecting portion. The adhering plate and the neodymium magnet respectively protrude toward opposite directions. The shell surrounds the neodymium magnet. The neodymium magnets of the two correction appliances are capable of repelling or attracting each other.

Oral devices, kits and methods for reducing sleep apnea, snoring, and/or nasal drainage

Apparatus for reducing obstructive sleep apnea, snoring and/or nasal drainage. One apparatus includes an upper member fitting the interior and exterior surfaces of a user's upper dentition, and a lower member fitting similarly adjacent a user's lower dentition. A magnetic tooth alignment device includes a first magnetizable element configured to be adhered to a tooth. The magnetizable element may be a magnet, a metal, or another magnetizable material. An aligner tray is configured to partially encase a plurality of teeth and the first magnetizable element. A secondary magnet holder is configured to partially encase the aligner tray. The secondary magnet holder includes a secondary magnet configured to magnetically interact with the first magnetizable element when the secondary magnet holder is partially encasing the aligner tray. An inner wall of the aligner tray includes a cavity and the inner wall is configured to stop movement of the tooth when the first magnetizable element enters the cavity and contacts the inner wall of the aligner tray. The aligner tray in implementations couples with the plurality of teeth using only a friction fit.
