Dispensing closure

A closure for a container having an opening for dispensing fluids contained therein. The closure includes a cap and a pivotable top component moveable between a closed and two opened positions. A pair of dispensing openings are in fluid communication with the associated container. A second dispensing opening and its associated channel has a larger cross section, perpendicular to a flow direction, than a first dispensing opening and its associated channel.

A paperboard box configured in a child-resistant manner includes a paperboard tray, and includes a paperboard over-sleeve that is closed at one end and open at the opposite end, where the paperboard tray is housed within the paperboard over-sleeve, the paperboard tray and the paperboard over-sleeve are locked together by interlocking tabs and where one tab is located on the inside of the paperboard over-sleeve and another tab is located on the outside of the paperboard tray, whereby these two interlocking tabs engage with each other and prevent the paperboard box from being opened through normal force when attempting to slide the paperboard tray out from the end of the paperboard over-sleeve.

CONTAINER WITH SECURITY LOCK
20210323736 · 2021-10-21 ·

A container with a security lock is provided. The container may have a lid (or “top”) portion and a bottom portion. The lid portion may be comprised of an exterior cover and a bottom ring acting as a single unit. Once inward protrusions on the exterior cover vertically aligns with indentation spaces on the bottom ring of the lid, a specific pressing and then twisting motion may be used to separate the lid from the bottom portion to gain access to the interior of the container. The bottom portion may receive contents such as medication.

Method of blow molding a plastic container

A plastic container has a main body portion, a neck portion and a molded feature such as an anti-rotation lug adjacent to the neck portion. The molded feature has a volume that is less than a volume that would be defined by the maximum external dimensions of the feature. This reduces the shrinkage differential between the molded feature and the neck portion, which could otherwise cause sealing problems with a closure as a result of deformation of the neck portion. A method of blow molding a plastic container with a reduced volume of the molded feature is also disclosed.

Reusable pusher for integrated squeezable container
11084629 · 2021-08-10 · ·

A reusable compression device, or contents ‘pusher’, introduced on and removably retained by the container housing, received at a position distal from a housing opening for releasing the content, and retained in position by engaging a grooved strip integrated with or otherwise retained on and movable along the housing surface to progressively compress the housing, providing a reliable, economic and functional container outer compression member retention apparatus and method. After the container is empty, the reusable pusher will be removed from the container and then will be inserted in another integrated container or separately disposed. The embodiment according to the present invention provides economic and environmental advantages compared to disposable structures that cannot be separated.

MULTIPLE LOCKING STORAGE CONTAINER

A system and method for securely storing valuables using a multiple level locking structure. The structure may include two completely separable parts generally termed a lid and a vessel. Both the lid and vessel may employ a lock and key system together with a twist-off mechanism. Complementary matched magnets are placed on the lid and vessel to hold the two pieces together when first coupled and again after twisting together. The lid and vessel may be formed as a rigid, cylindrical or slightly conical container, typically made of metal, glass, ceramic, or plastic, with a wide mouth or opening.

Container cap comprising tamper evidence means

A cap (100) for a container comprises a disc-shaped top section (102), an annular side section (104) projecting from said disc-shaped top section (102), and a locking flange (111) disposed at an extremity of said annular side section (104) opposite said disc-shaped top section (102), and further comprises a locking flap (116) extending from said annular side section (104), which is mobile between a locked first position wherein a portion (114) of the locking flange (111) extends inwardly from the annular side section (104), and an unlocked second position wherein the locking flange (111) is at least partially recessed relative to the annular side section (104). First tamper evidence means formed as partially frangible tab (120) and second tamper evidence means (128) are proposed. A package comprising a container and proposed cap (100) is also proposed.

A tamper evident feature for a container is provided. The tamper evident feature may include a locking tab connected to a wall panel of the container and a receiving slot provided on a cover panel of the container. The locking tab may include a locking end portion with an outer terminal edge and a slit extending laterally across the locking tab. The slit may provide a cut edge extending partially across an intermediate portion of the locking tab and allow for a tab end portion to bend relative to the remainder of the locking tab. The receiving slot may include a receiving slit defined into the cover panel of the container and configured to receive the locking end portion of the locking tab. The receiving slit may provide a receiving edge that engages with the cut edge of the locking tab to secure the cover panel in a closed position.

SECURE SMART CONTAINER ASSEMBLY, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS

A bin assembly, bin identification system and method are disclosed. A container bin assembly includes a bin body, a latching mechanism, and controller. A method includes receiving, via a communication interface, an authenticated request to access the smart container, actuating an electromechanical latch to disengage a fastening hook, thereby initiating a mechanical movement of an access component to make an internal compartment accessible, outputting, via an audiovisual element, an alert to identify the container, confirming that the electromechanical latch has re-engaged with the fastening hook, thereby securing the internal compartment, determining a change in a local inventory, and updating the local inventory in a non-volatile data store according to the change.
