Orthodontic assembly
A removable orthodontic assembly to be used in a user's mouth, including: a frame member configured to be removably positioned proximate a lingual portion of the user's teeth; a first connector member, wherein the first connector member comprises a first end extending proximate to a labial portion of the user's teeth and a second end engaging the frame member; and a labial bow configured to be removably positioned proximate to the labial portion of the user's teeth having a first end and a second end, wherein the labial bow is configured to removably engage the first connector member.
TOOTH ENAMEL REPLACEMENT
A method for performing enamel replacement on a tooth in the mouth of a person, the method including: beginning an arch reformulation therapy (ART) process, selecting a tooth for an enamel replacement process to be performed on, identifying a surface of the tooth to have a dental composite material adhered to as part of the enamel replacement process, discluding multiple teeth during the ART process including the selected tooth, preparing the identified surface of the selected tooth for adherence of a dental composite material, the preparation including application of a preparation material to the surface of the tooth, and applying the dental composite material to the prepared surface.
MOUTHPIECE-TYPE ORTHODONTIC DEVICE USING ULTRASONIC VIBRATION
A mouthpiece-type orthodontic device using ultrasonic vibration, in which: an ultrasonic vibrator is installed inside a mouthpiece, and ultrasonic waves emitted from the ultrasonic vibrator affect the movement of teeth requiring correction, thereby making it possible to shorten the correction time is proposed. A vibration attenuator is attached to the outside of the mouthpiece contacting the teeth that do not need to be moved, and thus the ultrasonic vibration can be selectively transmitted only to the teeth requiring correction. Further, a plurality of grooves are formed on the outside of the mouthpiece, and the vibration attenuator can be mounted thereto, thus making it possible to selectively transmit the ultrasonic vibrations only to the teeth requiring correction.
MINIMALLY INVASIVE METHOD TO ENHANCE IMPLANT MOVEMENT
A method for moving an existing implant along a jaw bone of a person, the method including positioning an abrasive bur between adjacent roots of the at least one tooth and existing implant in the jaw bone, rotating the abrasive bur, applying the rotating bur to penetrate the gingiva tissue covering the space between the adjacent roots of the at least one tooth and implant to remove a desired amount of gingival tissue and expose the underlying jaw bone, and contacting the bone with the rotating bur to abrasively vibrate the jaw bone adjacent to at least one tooth without drilling through the cortical bone.
System and method of more directly vibrating an orthopedic-orthodontic device
The present invention relates to a method and system for applying localized vibration directly to particular teeth with the upper and lower jaws. A headgear using an inner bow comprising at least two arms that inserts into the upper first molars and an elastic-type headgear strap attaches to the back of the neck and to the outside, or outer bow also having at least two arms. The inner bow and outer bow are coupled together generally in the center (or alternatively with at least one lateral extension that is off-centered) by an external extension. The external extension may further have a protrusion, that inserts into a corresponding orifice within a vibrating orthodontic device.
Minimally invasive method to enhance tooth movement velocity
A method for increasing the velocity of at least one moving tooth along a jaw bone, the method including positioning an abrasive bur with a desired diameter between adjacent roots of the at least one tooth in the jaw bone, the abrasive bur being rotatable by a handheld device, rotating the abrasive bur with the handheld device, applying the rotating bur to penetrate the gingiva tissue covering the space between the adjacent roots of the at least one tooth in the jaw to remove a desired amount of gingival tissue and expose the underlying jaw bone, and contacting the bone with the rotating bur to abrasively vibrate the jaw bone adjacent to at least one tooth without drilling through the cortical bone.
Device for electrical stimulation of peridontal complex and surrounding tissue
A device for electrical stimulation of one or more components of the periodontal complex and surrounding tissue of a tooth, for uses such as reducing orthodontic pain and encouraging tooth movement, has electrodes of a rigid, electrically conductive material in a fixed spatial relationship configured for application to oral mucosa and attached gingiva adjacent to, and along a periodontal ligament of, a root structure of a single tooth. An electrical circuit is configured for electrical connection to the at least two electrodes. The electrical circuit has an output providing a subsensory electrical stimulus comprising a waveform in accordance with predetermined stimulation parameters. After the electrodes are applied to the oral mucosa and attached gingiva adjacent to, and along the periodontal ligament of, a root structure of the tooth, a switch, when activated, activates the electrical circuit to output the electrical stimulus through the at least two electrodes.
MULTI-MATERIAL ALIGNERS
Systems, methods, and devices for producing orthodontic appliances are provided. In one aspect, an orthodontic appliance comprises an outer shell comprising a plurality of cavities shaped to receive the patient's teeth and generate one or more of a force or a torque in response to the appliance being worn on the patient's teeth. The orthodontic appliance can comprise an inner structure having a stiffness different than a stiffness of the outer shell. The inner structure can be positioned on an inner surface of the outer shell in order to distribute the one or more of a force or a torque to at least one tooth received within the plurality of cavities.

HEADGEAR FOR FIXING MOUTHPIECE
A headgear can be worn on a user's head to adjustably fix a mouthpiece inserted in an oral cavity. The headgear includes: a front pad brought into contact with and pressed against a front pressure point of an outer surface of the buccinator between the zygomatic bone and the mandible in the face region; one or more rear pads brought into contact with and pressed against one or more rear pressure points so that a resultant force becomes a reaction force paired with a pressing force of the front pad, in a region from the top to the back of the head; a frame fixing the front pad and the rear pads; a front horizontal bar fixed to the frame at a position in front of the lip region of the head; and an adjustment part installed on the front horizontal bar to mount the mouthpiece.
