A container and lid assembly is described for storing or transporting contents therein. Embodiments provide a protective security feature in the container and lid assembly. In at least some aspects of the invention a container body is disclosed having an opening, and a lid body is configured to cover the opening of the container body to form an assembly. An extended bumper portion is disposed at a periphery of the container body and substantially at the opening, wherein the bumper portion comprises a removable tear strip integrated into the material of the bumper portion. The tear strip is configured to prevent access to security mechanism of the assembly.

Tamper resistant container
09561885 · 2017-02-07 · ·

A tamper resistant thermoformed container having a tray and a lid, where the tray has an inside shelf between the cavity floor and a second shelf that extends to a cavity rim, where the lid has a sealing slot formed to engage the inside shelf of the tray, and where the lid also has a latching tab formed to fit into a matching latching hole on the tray. This structure keeps the lid on the tray by a combination of friction between the lid sealing slot and the tray inside shelf, plus interference between the latching tab and the latching hole.

TAMPER RESISTANT DEVICE AND METHODS OF FORMING A TAMPER RESISTANT DEVICE
20170015459 · 2017-01-19 ·

Tamper resistant systems and devices and methods of forming the same are disclosed. A tamper resistant system includes a container having a container body defining a cavity having a threaded opening therein, a threaded closure removably covering the threaded opening, and a frangible component including a length of material having a first end and a second end. The first end is integrated with the container body such that the frangible component and the container body have a single piece construction and the frangible component extends from the container body. The second end is coupled to the threaded closure. Subsequent removal of the threaded closure from the container causes damage to at least one of the frangible component, the threaded closure, and the container body. The frangible component, the threaded closure, and the container body are at least partially constructed of an environmentally friendly material.

TAMPER EVIDENT PLASTIC FOOD CONTAINER

A tamper evident container comprises a lid and a base. The lid includes a lid rim having a lid rim flange. The base includes a base rim having a base rim flange. A frangible hinge is formed between a top pinch segment peripherally projecting from the lid rim flange and a bottom pinch segment peripherally projecting from the base rim flange. The frangible hinge is configured to rupture when the container is in the initially sealed arrangement by the application of a pinching force to the top pinch segment and bottom pinch segment that results in the relative vertical movement of the segments toward each other. As compared to the prior art, the container hinges about a frangible vertex instead of hinging about a square-shaped structure.

TAMPER EVIDENT FEATURE

The present disclosure is directed to a container having a container body and a collar integrally formed on the container body. The collar may include a discontinuous annular portion which extends circumferentially outward from the container body and includes a slot disposed therein. The collar may further include a tamper evident tab formed integrally with the discontinuous annular portion, the tamper evident tab having an annularly extending portion and an insert notch positioned on the annularly extending portion. The collar may also include at least one living hinge that joins the tab to the collar and at least one frangible connection which connects the tab to the collar prior to actuation of the tab. The container may further include a friction barrier located adjacent the discontinuous annular portion.

Dual use box

A dual use box includes a side panel enclosure defining a top end and a bottom end; a first primary top panel extending from the top end of the side panel enclosure and defining a primary overlapping portion and a primary delivery address label; and a second primary top panel extending from the top end of the side panel enclosure and defining a primary underlying portion; wherein: the dual use box is configurable in a primary closed configuration and a secondary closed configuration; in the primary closed configuration, the primary overlapping portion overlays the primary underlying portion, such that the primary delivery address label is visible; and in the secondary closed configuration, the primary underlying portion overlays the primary overlapping portion, such that at least a portion of the primary delivery address label is hidden by the primary underlying portion.

A container includes a sidewall, a bottom and a rim portion, which are integrally formed or connected with each other. The rim portion includes an inner wall and an outer wall. The inner and outer walls are spaced from each other and connected to each other by an extension. An interior opening is defined by the inner wall of the rim portion, the sidewall and the bottom. An exterior opening is formed between the inner and outer walls and the extension. The exterior opening is sized and configured to receive a sidewall of a lid when the container is used with the lid to form a package. The outer wall has a tamper-evident foldable section with first and second ends. The first end is configured to fold back toward and secure to a second end so as to expose the sidewall of the lid.

Tamper evident tub
