Container closure for pourable liquids including a pour spout and a tamper evident vent structure

A re-closable vent for a container closure which requires no pre-formed holes in the closure deck, provides a tamper-evident feature, and provides simple rotation of a cap structure to open and a vent after punching out a frangible deck section.

Opening device for a packaging for pourable products

An opening device configured to be applied to packaging for pourable products comprises: a pouring spout defining a pouring opening through which to pour, in use, the pourable product; a cap configured to engage and disengage the pouring spout to respectively close and open the pouring opening; a closing element closing and/or sealing the pouring opening, formed in one piece with the pouring spout and connected to the pouring spout by a breakable connecting portion configured to break during first opening of the opening device; the closing element comprising a protruding portion extending through the pouring opening and connected to the cap; and tamper-evidence device fitted to the pouring spout and initially connected to the cap by at least one breakable connecting bridge configured to break during first opening of the opening device; wherein the cap is hinged to the tamper-evidence device thereby being permanently tethered to the pouring spout.

A closure including a base, a cutter and a cap is described which is configured to be attached to a container. Upon initial removal of the cap from the base, the cutter is configured to move downwards relative to the base so as to create an opening through the container. The portion of the container through which the cutter creates an opening may be formed of a film that is configured to be easily pierceable by the cutter. Methods of molding the closure components may include co-molding the cutter and base an in integral unit so as to facilitate and expedite assembly of the base, cutter and cap components to form the closure.

TAMPER EVIDENCE CONTAINER CLOSURE

A container closure and methods are disclosed for providing visible evidence of removal of the closure from a container after installation by a manufacturer. The closure includes tamper evidence bridges comprising small tabs of material that extend from a bottom-most edge of the closure to a tamper evidence ledge of the container. The bridges break when the closure is rotated relative to the tamper evidence ledge, thereby providing readily visible evidence that the closure has been removed after installation by the manufacturer. In some embodiments, a tamper evidence closure engages with threads of a finish of the container. Cam locks around the perimeter of the tamper evidence closure are permanently flared by cams on the finish during loosening of the closure. Outward flaring of the cam locks provides a visual indication that the tamper evidence closure has been loosened after installation by a manufacturer.

A can lid for a can includes a lid panel with a pouring opening, an actuating element on an upper side of the lid panel, and a closure element disposed on a lower side of the lid panel which faces an interior of the can with the can lid attached thereto. The closure element is shiftable between a closed position, in which the closure element closes the pouring opening in a liquid-tight and/or gas-tight manner, and an open position, in which the pouring opening is at least partially uncovered, along the lid panel substantially translationally in a guided manner by the actuating element. The closure element and the actuating element are made of a metallic material and are fastened to one another by a riveted connection and/or a welded connection that moves along a guide slot in the lid panel during shifting of the closure element.

IMPROVED USER-FRIENDLY TAMPER-RESISTANT/TAMPER-EVIDENT CONTAINER-SEAL SYSTEM FOR CONTAINERS OF CONSUMER GOODS AND METHODS OF USE
20220024645 · 2022-01-27 · ·

The inventive disclosures described herein pertain to an improved tamper-resistant/tamper-evident (TE) seal for containers of consumer-product-containment vessels (such as, for example, prescription bottles, condiment bottles, etc.) that enables a user to better grip and/or exert force/leverage to more-easily and reliably open such containers. Specifically, it features an improved seal-removal assembly that provides a collapsible finger-receiving aperture that allows a user to insert at least one user finger (or an elongated tool, such as a writing utensil), and exert upward force to breach the container seal.

CANNABINOID-CONTAINING PRODUCTS, CONTAINERS, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
