A CAP FOR CLOSING A CONTAINER, A COMBINATION OF A CAP AND A NECK
A combination comprises a cap for a container and a neck of a container. The neck is delimited by an outer surface from which a circular enlargement projects, the outer surface extending up to a rim of the neck. The cap comprises a side wall extending about an axis. A separation line is provided on the side wall for defining a retaining ring intended to engage with the circular enlargement to remain anchored to the neck of the container and a closure element removably engageable with the neck so as to be movable between a closed position and an open position. The separation line extends about the axis and is circumferentially interrupted so as to leave a joining portion between the retaining ring and the closure element. The cap further has an incision line which extends transversally to the axis between the separation line and a free edge of the retaining ring, so that two connecting bands are defined between the separation line and the incision line, the connecting bands joining the retaining ring to the joining portion. The connecting bands are deformable for allowing the joining portion to rotate when the closure element is moved from the closed position to the open position, so that an edge of the joining portion which, in the closed position, faces the retaining ring, is facing towards the rim of the neck in the open position.
Snap closure with tamper-evident safety means
A cover operates with a bistable snap-fit mechanism for positioning on a closable opening of a container or on another element to be closed by the cover. The cover and/or a container wall region has fitted thereon a tamper-evident sealing element to be removed when opening the container for the first time, which, prior to being removed, blocks deformation of the front wall necessary for changeover between the two bistable states and/or prevents an expansion portion necessary for the snap-fit mechanism, from bringing about alteration to the outer circumference of the cover necessary for deformation of the front wall of the cover between the two bistable states. As an alternative, or in addition, it is also possible for a handle member, necessary for pulling off the cover, to be configured such that it can only be used once the tamper-evident sealing has been successfully removed.
TETHERED CLOSURE DEVICE
A tethered closure device for a beverage container, a cap element and a beverage container. It is provided that a tethered closure device for a beverage container comprises the following components: A frame device and a cap element with an at least partially connected recloseable lid element, wherein the cap element is rotatable disposed to the frame device. The tethered closure device further comprises at least two temper evident elements, wherein the first temper evident element is disposed between the cap element and the frame device and the second temper evident element is disposed between the cap element and the lid element. Furthermore, a cap element and a beverage container is provided.
Tamper Evident Flip Cap
A closure includes a flip-top structure and a tamper-evident band. The flip-top structure is restricted from being opened because it interfaces against an underlying protrusion, such as a thread of a container's neck. To open the flip-top structure the closure is rotated with respect to the container neck. When the closure is rotated with respect to the container neck, the closure is configured such that the tamper-evident band breaks before the flip-top structure is permitted to rotate to an open position. Thus, the closure prevents accessing the container's contents until after the tamper-evident band is broken even with the addition of a flip-top structure.
Tethered Flip Closure
A closure includes a hinged sealing element including a top wall and a first skirt. The first skirt has a sealing formation allowing engagement of a mating sealing formation of a bottle. A second skirt has an attachment formation engageable with a mating attachment formation of the bottle. A plurality of frangible members is attached to each of the skirts. A pair of hinge members is attached between the first and second skirts. A biasing member is attached to the first skirt between the hinge members and extending downwardly from the first skirt to interact with a neck portion of the bottle such that the sealing formation of the first skirt and the mating sealing formation of the bottle are biased toward each other.
Tamper-evident plastic container
Tamper-evident plastic container comprises a base portion having a sidewall and a base flange, and a lid portion having a lid tab joined to the base flange by a hinge, wherein the lid portion has an open and a closed position. The lid portion is configured to lockingly engage the base portion in the closed position. One of the base flange or the lid tab has a non-linear path of weakness formed therein to define a frangible connection, wherein the frangible connection is configured to be ruptured to initially open the lid portion from the closed position. The non-linear path of weakness is spaced from the hinge to define a tamper indicator region between the non-linear path of weakness and the hinge, wherein the tamper indicator region remains joined to the hinge after the frangible connection is ruptured. Methods of containing a product in a tamper-evident container are also disclosed.
Venting system for ovenable containers
The invention comprises an ovenable packaging structure having an integral one-way valve. The laminate structure comprises an outer layer having a cut line which defines a flap that is separable from the outer layer, wherein the outer layer is adhered to an inner layer having a cut line which is offset from the outer cut line and defines a portion that is separable from the inner layer along the inner cut line and defines an opening into the packaging structure. The adhesive between the layers comprises, in an embodiment, a channel of pressure sensitive adhesive which surrounds both the outer cut line and the inner cut line, wherein the channel of pressure sensitive adhesive defines the perimeter of at least one adhesive-free valve chamber within said channel. The valve chamber comprises at least a portion of the outer cut line and the inner cut line.
PACKAGE AND CLOSURE WITH TAMPER-EVIDENT BAND
A closure includes first and second closure portions. The first closure portion includes a top wall portion and an annular skirt portion that includes an internal thread formation. The second closure portion includes a tamper-evident band being at least partially detachably connected to the skirt portion by a frangible connection. The tamper-evident band includes first and second portions connected via a bending area. The second portion extends generally upwardly from the bending area towards the top portion and is located inwardly from the first portion of the band. The second portion of the band includes a tab portion and an extension portion. The extension portion is located further from the bending area than the tab portion. The average thickness of the tab portion is greater than the average thickness of the extension portion. The extension portion extends continuously around an entire inner circumference of the closure.
Tamper evident container
A container including a base having a first flange extending from a side of the base; a lid having a second flange extending from a side of the lid, wherein the first flange and second flange are coupled together at a living hinge, a first perforation cut positioned on the first flange or the second flange, a plurality of bubbles or raised portions positioned on the flange which does not have the first perforation cut, wherein the bubbles or raised portions are positioned over the first perforation cut when the lid is closed on the base, wherein when the bubbles or raised portions are pressed down onto the first perforation cut, the first perforation cut is broken to separate the lid from the base, and wherein the bubbles or raised portions are deformed when they are depressed to provide a visual indication that the container has been opened.
