Truly tamper-evident container
11618621 · 2023-04-04 · ·

One embodiment of a vertical tube (26) for an improved tamper-evident container having no threads which descends from the underside of a cap (12) and is permanently adhered to a receiving cylindrical, threadless body neck (50) on the top of the body (10). A tape (46) is adhered to the underside of the lid (14) and runs towards the front of the cap where the opening is located, extends down to a plateau (22) where it runs back towards the rear, hinged (18) end of the cap. The tape breaks apart when the lid is opened for the first time. The cap and lid are clear and see-through which allows the customer to see if the tape is torn apart and know whether the product has been tampered with or not. Other embodiments are described and shown.

INSERT MOULDABLE AND ULTRASONICALLY WELDABLE CLOSURE ASSEMBLY FOR PLASTIC PACKAGING
20230146015 · 2023-05-11 ·

A closure assembly (10) for plastic containers comprises a neck insert (12) and a closure cap or plug (26). The closure assembly is configured to be fixed and sealed to the container either by insert-molding or by ultrasonic welding.

RECLOSEABLE LID FOR CONTAINER
20230143861 · 2023-05-11 ·

A reclosable lid for a container includes a base and a cover assembly connected relative to each other by a hinge and movable between an open configuration and a closed configuration. In the closed configuration, an access opening of the base is at least partially overlain by an access opening of the cover assembly. The cover assembly includes a cover that is moveable about a hinge from a closed position—blocking the access opening of the cover assembly—and an open position—exposing the access opening of the cover assembly. A tamper-evident feature in the form of one or more frangible connections between the cover and the remainder of the cover assembly are broken upon initial movement of the cover from the closed position to the open position.

In order to prevent or minimize littering, the invention proposes a plastic closure (1) having a tamper-proof element. The plastic closure has a tamper-proof element that is as small as possible, and the plastic closure is largely secured against loss. The tamper-proof element consists of a plate (50), which is formed as part of the jacket wall (30) of the cover (3) by means of designed breaking point bridges (51, 52) and lies behind a first apron (25) in the closed state before the first opening and engages in a window (26) of the first apron by means of a locking hook. After the first opening, the plate (50) is separated from the cover and is held captive between the first apron (25) and a second, inner apron (27).

CONTAINER, CLOSURE, AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURE

In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods are provided herein useful to contain and dispense a fluid, such as a thixotropic fluid. In some embodiments, a bottle having a closure cap includes a control device, a base, and a disk, where the base and disk define a mixing chamber configured to facilitate mixing of any serum or liquid separated from the fluid back therein. In some embodiments, a dispensing bottle includes a non-removable closure cap with a tamper evident feature that indicates whether the cap was previously opened. By one approach, the dispensing bottle includes discontinuous threads on a bottle neck and ratchet projections on a closure cap that engage the discontinuous thread(s) to prevent or inhibit manual removal of the cap from the bottle.

LID-SPOUT ASSEMBLY FOR A PACKAGE AND PACKAGE HAVING A LID-SPOUT ASSEMBLY
20230182972 · 2023-06-15 ·

A lid-spout assembly including at least a spout having a pouring outlet, a lid configured to selectively close and open the pouring outlet, a tethering element fixed to the lid and the spout and a tamper evidence element rupturably fixed to one of the lid and the spout and fixedly connected to the other one of the lid and the spout.

PANEL INTERLOCKING ARRANGEMENT, CARTON AND CARTON BLANK
20230182952 · 2023-06-15 · ·

A panel interlocking arrangement for securing a pair of panels together comprising: first and second panels for placement in an overlapping position. The first and second panels are disposed at least in part in a face-contacting arrangement. A pair of locking elements are provided for locking engagement with each other to secure the first and second panels in the overlapping position. The pair of locking elements comprises a male locking element and female locking element. The female locking element is formed in the second panel and the male locking element is connected to the first panel.

TAMPER-EVIDENT SEALS FOR CONTAINERS
20230182978 · 2023-06-15 ·

A tamper-evident seal for use with a container includes a body that is sealably coupled to a boundary defining an opening providing access into the container. The seal includes a gripping portion having a fixed end and a free end, the fixed end extending from the body, wherein the free end is sized and shaped to be gripped by a user to enable the user to forcibly disconnect at least a portion of the body from the container. The seal further includes an indicator including an indicator body, a neck portion of the indicator is removably coupled to the gripping portion, such that when the body is at least partially removed from the boundary, at least a portion of the indicator body remains connected to the body, as the gripping portion is disconnected from the indicator when the neck portion is uncoupled from the gripping portion.

The invention described herein relates broadly to closure assemblies, and methods of use and manufacture thereof. More particularly, certain embodiments relate to assemblies and methods for closing an opening defined by a spout provided on a flexible container utilising a capping member having a plugging portion and a substantially fracturable retaining skirt. Embodiments provide may an adequate seal for the contents contained within bags against the significant pressure placed upon the closure by the often weighty and voluminous contents of the packaging. Furthermore, the closure may be easily and comfortably removable by a user whilst managing the handling of the bag.

Container system with a removable cap

A container and methods of manufacturing and operating the same are provided where the container has a cap that is removable yet childproof. The cap is positioned in a tubular body, and the cap has a generally smooth or continuous upper surface to reduce or eliminate surfaces or edges for a child to grasp. To operate the cap, a disc in the center of the cap is pushed below a lip, and a user grasps the lip to pull the cap from the tubular body. The force needed to press the disc away from the lip is low enough for an adult but too high for a child. Moreover, the cap forms an interference fit with the tubular body with enough friction force to prevent the cap from falling out of the tubular body but is low enough that the cap can be pulled from the tubular body.
