CONTAINER WITH TEARABLE LID
A container may include a base having a bottom and a plurality of side walls extending upward from the bottom to define an interior therebetween, and a lid configured to engage with the base in a closed configuration to enclose the interior. The container may also include a connecting portion by which the base and the lid may be connected in an initial state. The base may have an extension portion extending laterally outward from a lateral side of the base and connected to the connecting portion via a folding line about which the connecting portion and the lid may be rotatable with respect to the base between the closed configuration and an open configuration. The lid may also have an extension portion extending laterally outward from a lateral side of the lid and connected to the connecting portion via a tear line. The tear line may be weakened such that the lid may be separable from the connecting portion and the base at the tear line while the connecting portion may remain intact with the base.
Tamper-Evident Container And Method
A tamper-evident container and method is disclosed. The tamper-evident container includes a base portion and a lid (or cover). In an untampered with state, one edge of the lid is removably connected to one edge of the base portion. Namely, the lid includes a tamper-evident tab, wherein the tamper-evident tab includes a grasping overhanging portion that is flanked by at least one breakable joint and wherein the lid is removably connected to the base portion via the breakable joint of the tamper-evident tab. Further, the tamper-evident container comprises an interlocking interface between the base portion and the lid. A method of using the tamper-evident container is provided.
Closure vent for tamper evident container
A plastic container includes a lid adapted for leak-proof sealing state with a base. Mating surfaces of the lid and base rims form one or more proximal seal zones when the lid rim and base rim are in an initially sealed state. Hinge-forming structure extends from a first hinge-joining section of the lid rim to a second hinge-joining section on the base rim. In the initially sealed state the first hinge-joining section superposes over all or part of the second hinge-joining section, the area at which the first hinge-joining-section superposes the second hinge-joining section defines an overlapping portion of the first and second hinge-joining sections. One or more vent channels are formed in either of the lid rim or base rim and located within the radially overlapping portion. The one or more channels form a complete discontinuity in the one or more proximal seal zones. Because the channels are within the overlapping portion, they are protected from tampering access.
Tamper-evident container with a bump near a tabbed hinge
A tamper-evident container includes a base and a lid. A base extension and a lid extension are connected to a hinge to join the base and the lid together in a closed, pre-use configuration. A tab extends from either the lid extension or the base extension in a direction away from the lid and the base such that the tab extends beyond the hinge. The tab is joined to one of the extensions via weakened regions that can be torn when the tab is pulled to indicate that the container has been tampered with or opened.
Compartmentalized containers
A container includes a base defining a perimeter opening and a top surface within the perimeter opening. The top surface includes a plurality of discrete openings defining respective compartments extending downwardly from the top surface of the base. A first reclosable lid covers the perimeter opening when the container is closed to resist transfer of solid matter between the compartments of the base. An additional reclosable lid encloses one of the compartments to resist liquid from exiting the compartment when the compartment is closed.
Tamper prominent containers
The present invention is directed to containers and packaging that incorporate novel tamper evident features that make prominent the evidence of tamper. In particular, the novel tamper prominent containers of the present invention comprise newly designed tamper prominent images, i.e., prominent continuity control (PCC) images. Additionally, the present invention provides novel methods of increasing prominence of the evidence of tamper with a container, e.g., of consumer goods, by incorporating prominent continuity control (PCC) images integrated with a button locking assembly that must be removed to open a locked container making prominent the evidence of tamper through clear visualization in the PCC image, e.g., prominently displaying an image of a broken lock after full fracture and removal of the button locking assembly.
TAMPER EVIDENT CONTAINER MADE OF PLASTIC MATERIAL
Disclosed is a box that includes a base and a lid connected by a hinge including at least one hinge portion connected to the lid by a frangible connection configured to break during the first opening of the lid. The box includes a tongue extending from the lid and beyond the articulation axis, such that when the box is closed, the tongue extends toward the outside of the box from the lid while protruding relative to the hinge beyond the articulation axis, pulling on the tongue making it possible to open the lid by breaking each frangible connection, a lid portion of each hinge part remaining secured to the base and separate from the lid, in the protruding state.
SECURITY CLOSURE SYSTEM AND DEVICES FOR CONTAINERS
The present invention relates to a security closure system and devices for containers, which can be used in any type of container and can be validated by means of simple sight and touch, thereby being tamper-resistant and preventing any adulteration by means of the non-authorised re-use of the original container. The system and devices are preferably used in containers made from vitreous materials such as ceramics, plastics and thermoplastics, owing to the properties of stiffness. The devices of the invention can be used for any product and any type of container, such as bottles for alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, containers for cosmetics, perfumes, drugs, food and valuable items such as watches, electronics or fine jewelry.
COUPLING SYSTEMS FOR TAMPER-EVIDENT CONTAINERS
A tamper-evident coupling system includes a first base portion, a second base portion, a first coupling portion supported by and extending from the first base portion, and a second coupling portion supported by the second base portion and configured for cooperating with the first coupling portion. The first and the second coupling portions are configured for defining an arming condition in which the first and second coupling portions are stably engaged with each other. At least one of the first and the second coupling portions includes a removable portion that is separable from the tamper-evident coupling system upon a first disengagement of the first and second coupling portions following the arming condition to prevent a subsequent coupling between the first and second coupling portions and to show a tampering with the tamper-evident coupling system.
