Tool for seating an orthodontic aligner and method of using same
A tool and method for seating an orthodontic aligner, unseating the aligner, or both. In one aspect, the tool comprises a handle portion and seating portion. The seating portion is connected to the handle portion. The seating portion comprises a rippled structure having the shape of a series of waves, the waves having a direction of propagation directed away from the handle portion. In a second aspect, a handle portion of the tool comprises a hook adjacent to a recess in the handle portion, the hook being configured to unseat an aligner. In a third aspect, the method comprises seating an aligner by holding a handle portion of the tool, positioning the seating portion between sets of teeth and repeatedly biting the seating portion. In a fourth aspect, the method comprises unseating an aligner by holding the rippled seating portion and using the hook to apply force to the aligner.
MANUAL ORAL CAVITY EXPANSION DEVICE
An improved manual oral cavity expansion device comprising a fixing element with one end connected with a first holding element, and another end forming an accommodating portion protrudingly disposed with a pivoting portion; at least one linkage element disposed on the fixing element; a rotating element accommodated in an accommodating space of the accommodating portion and sleeved on the pivoting portion; a movable element with one end connected with a second holding element, and another end forming a movable portion correspondingly disposed in the accommodating space and sleeved on the pivoting portion; and an expansion unit. An outer circumference of the rotating element is arranged with a plurality of tooth elements in a row, and one end of the linkage element contacts the tooth elements. The expansion unit has a first expansion arm connected to the accommodating portion and a second expansion arm connected to the movable portion.

METHOD FOR THE ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT OF DENTAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL ANOMALIES USING BRACES
The invention refers to medicine, namely orthodontic dentistry, and is intended for the treatment of dentofacial abnormalities for mass outpatient reception in dental rooms. The patient is examined using X-ray diagnostic measures: orthopantomography (OPTG), teleroentgenography (TRG), computer tomography (CT); the choice of a treatment strategy depends on the orthodontic pathology. The number of braces is determined taking into account the size of the slot and the shape of the orthodontic arc. After that, braces are pre-fixed on dental rows of the patient followed by the installation of the orthodontic arc. In this case, the arc originally installed in the brace slot is four-sided, the arc can have both square and rectangular section depending on the analysis of OPTG, TRG, and CT. An obligatory condition for installation of the four-sided arc at the beginning of orthodontic treatment is associated with compliance with the specified arc load exerted on the moving teeth.
Mouth piece removal tool
A mouth piece removal tool. The mouthpiece removal tool includes an elongated handle having a first end opposite a second end. A first hook extends perpendicular from the second end of the elongated handle. The first hook includes a pointed tip curving upwards.
LIGHT CURING IMPRESSION SYSTEM
A light curing dental system comprising a light emitting tray that precisely distributes an optimal amount of curing light energy to internal, external and extra oral portions of the dental arch to cure a dental material. The light curing dental system generally includes a light source, a light emitting dental tray, an activation module and a photocurable dental material.
Method for debonding of orthodontic metal brackets with eugenol emulgel
The invention is directed to a composition that safely removes a cured dental cement or resin from metal brackets, metal braces, and enamel surfaces of teeth. It contains eugenol, isoeugenol, methyl-eugenol or an isomer thereof. A method for removing orthodontic fixtures adhered with a dental cement or resin to the enamel surfaces of teeth from these surfaces by contacting the dental cement or resin with a composition containing eugenol.
CLOSURE DEVICES INCLUDING INCREMENTAL RELEASE MECHANISMS AND METHODS THEREFOR
According to an embodiment, a device for tightening an article includes a housing, a spool rotatably positioned within the housing, a knob operably coupled with the spool to cause the spool to rotate within the housing, and a stop mechanism. The device is configured so that incremental rotation of the knob in a first direction causes a corresponding incremental rotation of the spool within the housing that incrementally tensions a tension member and thereby tightens the article. The device is also configured so that incremental rotation of the knob in a second direction causes a corresponding incremental rotation of the spool that incrementally loosens the tension member's tension. The stop mechanism is configured to prevent rotation of the spool in the second direction when the tension member's tension achieves or falls below a tension threshold.
DENTAL IMPRESSION KIT AND METHODS THEREFOR
A method of administering the contents of a dental impression kit. The method includes sending a dental impression kit to a user, receiving one or more photos of the user's mouth, the one or more photos having been taken while the dental appliance is positioned at least partially within the user's mouth, receiving the initial dental impression created by the user by administering the initial dental assembly, and receiving the redundant dental impression created by the user by administering the redundant dental assembly. The initial dental impression and the redundant dental impression provide information necessary to manufacture a plurality of dental aligners specific to the user and being configured to reposition one or more teeth of the user.
