Silo dust collection

Granular material flows out through the discharge opening of a silo and through a sealed housing to a target location. A vent opening in a top portion of the silo has a vent cover operative to selectively open and close the vent opening. When the vent cover is closed, air movement into an upper portion of the silo is prevented. A gate is operative to control a flow of granular material through the discharge opening. A vacuum conduit has a lower input end thereof connected to an interior of the housing, and an upper output end thereof located in an upper portion of an interior of the silo. Material flowing out of the silo creates a vacuum drawing dust from the housing up the vacuum conduit into the silo.

A liner floor for use in a container liner is provided. The liner floor includes a floor portion arranged between a distal end and a proximal portion and the floor portion is configured for being arranged on a floor of the container. The floor portion includes a plurality of stacks of folded sections. The stacks are folded such that a top fold of one stack is connected to a bottom fold of a proximal neighbouring stack. A weight of the folded sections varies along the floor portion with each of the folded sections having at least the same weight as a proximal neighbouring folded section. Also provided are methods for unloading cargo from a container including a liner, and methods and apparatuses for loading cargo into a container.

Composite thief hatch systems

The present disclosure refers to a system and components for a thief hatch. The thief hatch may include a flange body comprising a first composite material. The flange is configured to attach to a tank roof. A lid is operably connected to the flange body. The lid comprises a second composite material. The lid comprises a hinge operably connected to allow for at least partial opening and closing of the lid. The first composite material and the second composite material are the same material or different materials.

Specialty intermodal container having a roll cover roof, method of use and manufacture

An intermodal container includes first and second ends, joined by first and second sides in a generally rectangular configuration. A generally continuous floor cooperates with the first and second ends and the first and second sides to form an open top container. A plurality of roof overhangs extend adjacent a top of the open top container, generally parallel to the floor. The intermodal container includes a roll cover having a first position in which the open top container is substantially open to the ambient environment to allow for loading from above the first and second sides and first and second ends of the open top container. The roll cover has a second position in which the open top container is substantially closed to the ambient environment to prevent any contents of the open top container to be ejected from the open top container during transport. A plurality of top reinforcement rails are disposed adjacent upper portions of the first and second sides, and extends from the first side to the second side.

CONVERTIBLE, COLLAPSIBLE AND REUSABLE SHIPPING CRATE

The present invention generally relates to a convertible, collapsible and reusable shipping crate. The crate is convertible in that the same base can used with extendable gates or fixed gates to ship equipment of differing heights, lengths, and wheel bases. At least one end of the crate may operate as a gate on a hinge for the loading and unloading of motorized vehicles. The hinge is comprised of a slotted plate on each side to lock the gates into place for loading and to raise the gates upright once loading is completed. The slotted plate positions the gates in an upright, locked position to carry all the weight on the upright beams of the gate, rather than the hinges, thereby allowing multiple crates to be stacked. The slotted plates also allow each of the two gates to collapse inward and flat on the base for stacking during return. The gates, optional cross braces, and slotted plates all contain removable pins as connectors so that no hand tools are required for setup, operation, and breakdown of the crate. The crate is reusable many times.
