LOCKING DEVICE AND RELATED METHODS
The locking device is provided for waste containers. The locking device allows the lid of the container, when the container is in an upright position, to be locked to prevent unauthorized access to the container. When the container is tilted from the upright position, e.g., to empty the contents of the container, the locking device is gravity actuated to allow the lid to open automatically. The locking device is also provided with a manual release for manually opening the container.

Secure desktop item receptacle
An article of manufacture for providing a secure desktop item receptacle according to the present invention is disclosed. The container is made of a hollow container, an attaching base coupled to a bottom surface of the hollow container for attaching the container to a desktop, and a four point star shaped opening through a top surface of the hollow container providing access to the inside volume of the hollow container. The attaching base includes a suction cup attachment device on a bottom surface of the attaching base, and a support pedestal coupled between the suction couple attachment device and the hollow container. The hollow container has a spherical shape, a tall goblet shape, and a tall octagon shape. The four point star opening has a cross shape, a narrow arm shape, and a diamond shape. The container may be made of is made of rubber, silicone, plastic, metal and glass.
REFUSE CONTAINER LID OPENING DEVICE HAVING PUSH-UP ACTUATOR
A refuse container lid opening device includes a lid hingedly attached to a container body for covering the container body's top opening. The lid when closed is flush with or recessed below the top edge of a railing extending around the top rim of the container body. An actuator retained in a sleeve on the outer surface of the container body is movable using a first hand between a rest position and an upraised position in which it is received in a slot in the top rim of the container body and engaged with the lid, further upward movement of the actuator opening the lid to form a manually accessible gap between the lid and the top rim to allow the lid to be fully opened using a second hand.

WASTE CONTAINER
A portable container for waste products, having an assembled receptacle with four side panels hingedly connected, the four side panels connected to a plurality of bottom closure panels forming a bottom closure, with the four side panels and the bottom closure define a box with a top opening. The four side panels include a first and a second set of opposing side panels, the first set of opposing side panels having a first side panel and a second side panel. A first side panel has a first handle, the first handle having a first handle first position and a first handle second position. A second side panel has a second handle, having a second handle first position and a second handle second position. The first handle and the second handle are opposably, pivotally, movable relative to each other.
VERSATILE PORTABLE WASTE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A waste management system having improved maneuverability and versatility. The system includes a container bay configured to house a compactor unit having a receptacle body configured to receive waste in a cavity surrounded by container walls and a tow member affixed to a forward container wall, the tow member. The tow member is disposed in close proximity to the front wall in order to provide better maneuverability when maneuvered by a deployment vehicle. Typically, first and second of the tow member converge at a tow engagement mechanism disposed at a distance from the forward container wall that is equal to or less than one tenth of a length of the container. The system may further include a local control station situated at the container bay and configured to engage with waste container such that the control station may control functionality of the compactor unit.
Receptacle
A receptacle comprising a container and a lid is disclosed. The container includes one or more walls and a plurality of gussets extending from the container. The gussets include a first gusset having a cavity facing away from a second gusset. The lid includes a plurality of hinge components, namely a first hinge component including a first pin. The lid is pivotally coupled to the container by inserting the first pin of the first hinge component into the cavity of the first gusset and using a second pin to rotationally couple the second hinge component to the second gusset. A first protrusion, extending from the first hinge component, is configured to contact the first gusset and restrict opening of the lid.
