BOX INTENDED TO RECEIVE WASTE, IN PARTICULAR MEDICAL WASTE
A box including: a receptacle; a plate fastened on the receptacle and including an aperture for the introduction of wastes; a cartridge containing a waste disinfection fluid, the cartridge being mounted in the receptacle and including a casing and an actuator movable relative to the casing between an inactive position and an active position in which fluid can be expelled through an expulsion hole; a cover which is mounted on the plate and which includes means for activating the actuator of the cartridge. When the cover is in an open position, the actuator is in an inactive position, and the switch of the cover into the closed position causes the switch of the actuator into the active position by the action of the activation means.
Method of making a trashcan with an antimicrobial coating
Various trashcans, their coatings, and coatings for other household goods are disclosed. In certain implementations, the disclosed coatings are antimicrobial. Various methods for forming antimicrobial coatings for household goods are also disclosed. In some embodiments, the antimicrobial coating comprises a substrate and an antimicrobial agent. In certain implementations the coating can be applied to a household good where the coating leaves a substantially streak-free finish. Some embodiments pertain to protective films that can be removed from a coated household good without leaving residue.

Pedal waste bin optimized for partial or full factory automation
A trash bin having parts optimized for partial or full automated assembly. Components are fabricated of materials that are easily manipulated by factory automation equipment as well as those that may be selectively deformed during the assembly or installation process. Elastic or deformable characteristics also facilitate the retention of assembled or installed parts. A barbed element deforms during installation into a received aperture, then returns to a relaxed state in which one or more barbs inhibit the dislocation of the element from the aperture. A post having an aperture for receiving an axle therein is formed of resilient materials such that the post flexes outward under the urging of the axle until the axle is aligned with the aperture, at which point the post resumes a neutral position with the axle engaged in the aperture. Interfaces between components are selected in order to simplify the mechanical mating of components.

Container with cover
A container includes a base, and a jacket adjoining the base and having a peripheral flange which defines an opening cross section which can be closed by a cover. The cover includes first snap-fit hooks distributed about a periphery of the cover for engagement in complementing first latching openings in the peripheral flange to thereby establish a form fit that prevents a movement away from the base and parallel to a vertical axis of the container in perpendicular relation to the base. The peripheral flange has four corner regions, each provided with a second latching opening for engagement of a second snap-fit hook of the cover. The second latching opening has at least one portion configured curved or inclined in relation to both a transverse axis and a longitudinal axis of the container, or has at least two straight portions extending at an inclination in relation to one another.
EMESIS CONTAINER WITH INTEGRAL SPOUTS AND HANDLES
An emesis container that has two diametrically opposed pour spouts which are integral to the body of the container and form handles by which the user may grip the emesis container is disclosed. Further disclosed is the improvement of integrating recessed areas into the junction of the spouts and the body of the emesis container. An alternate embodiment with additional features encouraging children to use the emesis container as designed is also disclosed. A lid can be mechanically affixed to the container for secure storage of the contents.

Rigid trash receptacle with retractable strap
A rigid trash receptacle with retractable strap for receiving a trash can liner and securing it to the upper rim of a rigid trash receptacle in order to keep the trash can liner from falling into the rigid trash receptacle when it is being filled. Such a securing system includes a rigid trash receptacle with a protruding upper rim, a retractable strap and a rigid hook on the protruding end of a strap that is contained in a strap retractor mechanism which the strap can be spooled out of and retracted back into with the help of a torsion spring, and a pointed stake protruding from the outside of the rigid trash receptacle that is mounted close to the upper rim of the rigid trash receptacle enabling the retractable strap to wrap around the upper rim of the rigid trash receptacle and eventually be hooked onto the pointed stake pinning the open end of the trash can liner to the upper rim of the trash can.
