A content collection system and method for curbside collecting of multiple segregated recycled material streams stored in a product storage container. The product storage container can include a compartment and a door associated with the compartment. A product collection interface is associated with a product collection vehicle, and is configured to engage with any configuration of product storage container. A product transfer module is associated with the product collection interface and is configured to receive content from the product storage container. The product transfer module includes weight sensors to calculate the weight of content in the product transfer module. A release mechanism is configured to discharge the content from the product transfer module to a bulk product holding unit associated with the vehicle. Software application can be utilized to request collection and/to receive collection data. Computer systems can be utilized to control operations of the system.

REFUSE COLLECTION VEHICLE

A refuse collection vehicle includes a wheeled chassis, a battery pack, a refuse collection body, and a DC-DC converter. The wheeled chassis has an electric propulsion motor connected to a road wheel of the chassis. The battery pack has multiple battery cells and provides electrical power to the propulsion motor. The refuse collection body is carried by the chassis and defines a refuse storage compartment. The refuse collection body includes a refuse packer driven by an electric packer motor. The refuse collection body also includes a powered tailgate driven by an electric tailgate motor. The DC-DC converter is connected to the battery pack and provides electrical power to the electric packer motor and to the electric tailgate motor at one or more DC voltages different than a voltage provided by the battery pack to the DC-DC converter.

A method for the destruction of data carriers preventing access to the process of rendering confidential data carriers, which consist of paper or similar material, unreadable and allowing the carriers to be destroyed. In the method, confidential data carriers are collected at the point of origin in secure collection containers, removed by a collection vehicle, and are supplied to a paper recycling plant in a final step. The interior of a mobile pulper, which is connected to the collection vehicle, is filled with the confidential data carriers, the carriers are mixed with a pulping fluid and the mixture is blended by an agitator to form a suspension of defibrated documents and pulping fluid, a hydromechanical pulping process taking place in the pulper before the suspension is supplied to the paper recycling plant.
