METHODS FOR PLACING AN IMPLANT ANALOG IN A PHYSICAL MODEL OF THE PATIENT'S MOUTH
A method of placing a dental implant analog in a physical model for use in creating a dental prosthesis is provided. The physical model, which is usually based on an impression of the patient's mouth or a scan of the patient's mouth, is prepared. The model is scanned. A three-dimensional computer model of the physical model is created and is used to develop the location of the dental implant. A robot then modifies the physical model to create an opening for the implant analog. The robot then places the implant analog within the opening at the location dictated by the three-dimensional computer model.
ABUTMENT COUPLED TO UPPER PART OF DENTAL IMPLANT FIXTURE
An abutment coupled to an upper part of a dental implant fixture includes a coupler coupled to a polygonal groove or a polygonal protrusion of the fixture; and a body mounted with a crown which is an artificial tooth and has a shape to be connected to a mount driver used for coupling to the fixture and serves as a scan body for digital impression.
Method of Designing and Fabricating Patient-Specific Restorations from Intra-Oral Scanning of a Digital Impression Coping
Taking a digital implant or abutment level digital impression by means of intra-oral, computed tomography or other imaging method provides the restorative doctor and laboratory accurate and effective data for determining the implant position, angulation and locking feature orientation without a physical impression. Such data is correlated with a digital library to produce an output which enables design and fabrication of an accurate restorative device such as a prosthetic tooth or crown. In this way the time-consuming, costly and error prone mechanical replication of the relevant dental anatomy is obviated.
METHODS FOR INTEGRATING SCANS INCLUDING 3D CONE BEAM SCAN FOR POSITIONING OF IMPLANT AND FABRICATION OF DENTAL PROSTHESIS
Methods for taking a scan of a patient's oral cavity for use in fabricating a dental prosthesis. Such methods may include providing a healing cap configured to be received within a subgingival void of a given tooth position, taking a first scan of the healing cap, wherein the first scan is taken outside of a patient's oral cavity, seating the healing cap, taking a second scan, which is an intraoral scan of the healing cap and surrounding surfaces once the healing cap is seated, taken inside the patient's oral cavity; and integrating the first scan of the healing cap with the intraoral second scan of the healing cap and the surrounding surfaces into an overall oral cavity scan. A third scan, (e.g., 3D cone beam scan), can also be taken, which is overlaid or otherwise integrated with the first and second scans, for use in fabrication of a dental prosthesis.
System, device and method for restoring the use of a damaged dental implant
A system, device and method for restoring the use of a damaged dental implant. The system, device and method utilizes a dual thread fixation screw capable of coupling an abutment or abutment assembly to the damaged dental implant, therein rescuing the damaged dental implant.
Edentulous surgical guide
A dental surgical drill guide assembly and method includes a surgical guide housing and a base frame that fits to both gum tissue and one or multiple small areas of jawbone. The apparatus may be configured to accurately place dental implants according to planned positions. Such apparatus may increase the stability of the surgical guide by clasping and/or contacting the jawbone, while improving the overall fit and minimizing the need of invasive surgery and flapping by also clasping and/or contacting selected areas of the gum tissue at the same time. Self-locking alignment members aid in easy removal, and re-installation, of the surgical guide housing to the base frame.
Dental implant device, system and method of use
A dental device and a method of use for associating with an implanted dental implant anchor immediately following implantation. The device provides for projecting the implant's location, orientation and axis such that the device is readily visible to the naked eye by way of visual inspection so as to reveal the location of the implanted dental implant anchor following a healing period. The device having a distal portion, for coupling to the dental implant, a medial portion, for covering the proximal end of the dental implant, and a proximal portion, defining a vertically adjustable shaft provided for projecting the location, orientation and axis of implant anchor.
ASSEMBLY FOR DENTAL RESTORATION
An assembly for dental restoration includes a healing element able to be connected to a dental implant, the healing element including a lateral surface intended to be integrated within a gum for the purpose of shaping the gum as the gum heals, and an end surface that forms, together with part of the lateral surface, an emergent surface that is intended to remain outside the gum and is asymmetrical with respect to at least one perpendicular median plane. The assembly for dental restoration also includes a detachable prosthesis support having a receiving part for a crown prosthesis and a linking part capable of engaging with a matching linking zone that is defined in a through-opening that is provided in the healing element.
Measuring system and method for measuring an implant-implant situation
The invention relates to a measuring system for measuring an implant-implant situation for planning an implant-supported tooth replacement part supported on at least two implants, comprising a scanning template and the at least two set implants. The scanning template has cut-outs for the individual implants, wherein first markings are arranged on surface regions around the cut-outs.
DENTAL IMPRESSION KIT AND METHODS THEREFOR
A method of administering the contents of a dental impression kit. The method includes sending a dental impression kit to a user, receiving one or more photos of the user's mouth, the one or more photos having been taken while the dental appliance is positioned at least partially within the user's mouth, receiving the initial dental impression created by the user by administering the initial dental assembly, and receiving the redundant dental impression created by the user by administering the redundant dental assembly. The initial dental impression and the redundant dental impression provide information necessary to manufacture a plurality of dental aligners specific to the user and being configured to reposition one or more teeth of the user.
