Multi-functional coping
A multi-functional coping including a base with a channel for securing a rubber dam, and an engagement section for engaging an impression or for use as a scan body, or for use as a temporary cylinder in a provisional dental prosthesis. The channel may include a first seating surface that is substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the multi-functional coping. The multi-functional coping may include engagement grooves and wings in the engagement section, and a cutting groove between two parts of the engagement section.
SCANNING JIG AND METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR IDENTIFYING SPATIAL POSITION OF IMPLANT OR SUCHLIKE
A scanning jig is capable of acquiring spatial positional relationships between a patient's face and an abutment. The scanning jig is configured to identify the spatial position of an implant including the abutment placed in the patient's mouth, and includes a base to be connected to the implant, a scan target with a scan area scannable by a 3D scanner, and a connecting portion for connecting the base and the scan target. The connecting portion is connected at one end to the base in a predetermined direction and at the other end to the scan target in the predetermined direction, and has a predetermined length such that the scan target is positioned outside the mouth when the base is connected to the implant.
Snap-coupling temporary abutment mount for dental prosthesis
A temporary cylinder for snap-in retention with an elongate dental implant includes an elongate body extending from a first end to a second end, the elongate body being generally cylindrical and having an upper portion and a lower engagement portion and the temporary cylinder's lower engagement portion includes a male irregular hexagonal plug, and wherein the dental implant includes a female regular hexagonal socket, and wherein the male irregular hexagonal plug and the female regular hexagonal socket are configured for inter-engagement with each other, and the fitment of the irregular hexagonal plug and regular hexagonal socket together with one another results in a frictional fit when inter-engaged.
Impression Post for a Dental Implant
An impression post for a dental implant includes one pair of sleeves with an inner sleeve, which has a through bore extending longitudinally of the inner sleeve, and an outer sleeve radially surrounding the inner sleeve, which is detachably connected to the inner sleeve, and a fastening element penetrating the through bore of the inner sleeve for fixing the sleeve pair to the dental implant. The outer sleeve has, at the apical end of the outer sleeves facing the dental implant, a preferably annular planar end face which, when the sleeve pair is fixed to the dental implant, rests on a corresponding, preferably planar end face of the dental implant.
MAXIMIZED AREA OSSEOINTEGRATED CUSTOM IMPLANTS
Customized dental implants feature enhanced osseointegrable qualities by manufacturing the implant post with osseointegrable material and preparing a larger post body, including a portion to cover a prepared bone surface, to integrate with a jawbone. Resultant implants are more durable and provide a better fir into the oral cavity. Various implant shapes and designs are disclosed.
Oval section dental implant
The invention is directed to a new dental implant and associated parts that allow for insertion in narrow areas of the alveolar bone. Characteristics of the body of the implant allow for comfortable insertion in narrow bone clefts provided by its smooth narrow sections. The implant provides an alternative to complex and time consuming surgical processes involving bone regeneration and/or grafting.
System and method for registering implant orientation directly from a dental impression
The present invention comprises a uniquely-shaped implant position transfer body used during the acquisition of dental impressions of the intra oral cavity of patients receiving artificial tooth replacement. The present invention further comprises one-piece scan bodies used during 3D-scanning of these dental impressions. The present invention even further comprises a method of the registration of implant position (coordinates) and/or orientation (direction vectors) within and from a dental impression.
DENTAL IMPLANT MULTIFUNCTIONAL ABUTMENT
A multifunctional abutment configured to releasably connect to a dental implant comprises a body and a head at an upper edge of the body. The multifunctional abutment is configured to allow execution of multiple steps during an implantation procedure of the dental implant, while using same multifunctional abutment.
METHOD OF PRODUCING ADAPTIVE ELEMENT FOR DENTAL IMPLANTATION
A method for producing an adaptive element for dental implantation includes: obtaining images of a tooth and creating a 3D model based thereon; obtaining a boundary curve on the 3D model between crown and root parts thereof; defining a cutting line on the root part perpendicular to an axis of the 3D model and spaced apart from the boundary curve; extracting a sub-model from the 3D model with reference to the boundary curve and the cutting line; forming a tubular model from the sub-model by removing all that corresponds to the crown part and hollowing out the sub-model such that the tubular model has a predetermined thickness in radial directions transverse to the axis; and producing the adaptive element according to the tubular model.
Method and Apparatus for Installation of Prefabricated Prostheses onto Dental Implants
A plate (30 or 40) used for installing a prefabricated prosthesis (62) on to free-hand installed implants (52) includes a plastic structure (30 or 40) shaped and configured to mate with an arch (10), a plurality of perforations in the plastic structure, and a plurality of removable panels (32 or 42) corresponding to the plurality of perforations. The plurality of removable panels are designed and configured for removal in locations corresponding to locations of the free-hand installed implants and further configured to deliver the prosthesis on to the implants using the plastic plate.
