SERVER, METHOD, AND PROGRAM FOR MEASURING WASTE DISCHARGE AMOUNT AND MANAGING WASTE COLLECTION
20240104517 · 2024-03-28 · ·

The present invention relates to a server for measuring a waste discharge amount and managing waste collection, the server calculating, on the basis of image data of a waste collection box captured by a sensor, the volume of waste discharged to the waste collection box, using the calculated volume to update the volume of waste accumulated in the waste collection box, and recording that the waste in the waste collection box has been collected by a waste collection company if a collection signal of the waste collection box is received from a terminal of the waste collection company, and thus the waste of all affiliated companies can be continuously tracked and monitored.

A SYSTEM AND A METHOD FOR MONITORING CONTENT OF A WASTE CONTAINER
20240092567 · 2024-03-21 ·

The present invention relates to a system and a method for monitoring content of a waste container. The system comprises at least one monitoring device comprising a gas sensor for detecting a concentration of at least one gas within a waste container. The system is configured such that when the at least one monitoring device is mounted to the waste container, the monitoring device is configured to communicate information indicative of the detected gas concentration within the waste container via the network interface to a remote computing device such that the system can determine whether the detected concentration of the at least one gas within the waste container exceeds or falls below a pre-determined threshold.

LOCAL NODE FOR A WASTE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

An enhanced local node to be installed to a waste collection site. A radio interface unit is configured for communication using signals specified for radio access in a radio access network, and a radar unit is configured to use information on received or transmitted signals of the radio interface unit to determine a distance from the local node to refuse objects inside a container. The local node thus uses the same signals to detect a fill state of a container and to transmit the fill state of the container from the local node to the control node.

Devices, systems, and methods of garbage sorting and processing to encourage proper waste disposal are disclosed. An embodiments of the waste management and sorting system comprises a smart waste machine configured to receive waste from a user and place the waste in proper storage containers having first identifiers, a mobile application configured to run on a user device and communicatively coupled to the smart waste machine and/or the server device, and a conveyor system configured to sort and/or process waste once it is removed from the storage containers.

Systems and methods for enhancing waste disposal and energy efficiency using sensor and alternative power technologies

A computer system including sensor and alternative power technologies for enhancing waste disposal and energy efficiency using is provided. The computer system may be configured to receive waste data and recycling data from at least one sensor located proximate to a waste bin, and determine a level of waste in the waste bin based upon the received waste data, and a level of contamination of the waste bin based upon the received recycling data. The computer system may be also configured to determine whether collection of waste in the waste bin or decontamination of the waste bin is required. The computer system may be further configured to generate an alert including information corresponding collection or decontamination of the waste bin, and transmit the alert to one or more client devices associated with at least one user.

Method and apparatus for monitoring waste removal and administration

A method for a municipality to control, track, and monitor waste or refuse receptacles requires a permit for use of a waste receptacle. An issuing organization issues a permit associated with a discreet receptacle identifier. An RFID tag is provided with the permit and attached to a discreet receptacle. The RFID tag transmits a signal carrying data associated with the discreet receptacle identifier. The signal may be read by a portable reader carried by municipal personnel to record violations of municipal code associated with the use of the discreet receptacle.

Electrically-Powered Waste Enclosure

Systems, methods, and apparatuses for controlling electrically-powered trash receptacles and monitoring fullness levels. The system can include a storage enclosure and a bin contained inside the storage enclosure, the bin configured to receive and store items deposited in the storage enclosure, wherein an inside portion of the bin is at least partially covered by a bag placed inside the bin to hold the items deposited in the storage enclosure. The system can also include a sensor configured to sense a content fullness state of the bin and a processor configured to control operations performed by the sensor. In addition, the system can include a sleeve configured to be installed over an inside portion of the bin and the bag, the sleeve at least partially restricting a movement of the bag.

CUSTOMER TOOL FOR REMOTE MANAGEMENT OF WASTE SERVICES

A robotic garbage unit can include a garbage container, a robotic drive system, and sensors. The robotic garbage unit can determine a travel path and drive along the travel path to get to a garbage pickup location. The robotic garbage unit can detect a garbage pickup event based on garbage sensors. When a garbage pickup event is detected, the robotic garbage unit determines a travel path to a docking station and drives to the docking station. The robotic garbage unit can avoid obstructions while traveling by adjusting a travel path.
