Waste treatment components
Waste container includes a base defining a waste-receiving compartment, and an insert supported on the base and engaging a peripheral edge of a bag that extends into the compartment while maintaining an opening of the bag unobstructed. A movable closure component has a first engagement position in which it engages with the insert to press the bag against a bag-engagement edge of the insert, and a second non-engagement position in which it is separated from the bag-engagement edge. A lid is attached to the base and includes a waste treatment component having a base defining a compartment receivable of a waste treatment material and including apertures communicating with the compartment. A member is attached and rotatable relative to the base to selectively align apertures of the member with the apertures of the base to enable dispersion of the waste treatment material from the compartment.
Waste containers with bag trapping structure
Waste container includes a base defining a waste-receiving compartment, and an insert supported on the base and adapted to engage a peripheral edge of a bag that extends into the compartment while maintaining an opening of the bag unobstructed. The insert has at least one bag-engagement edge and possibly up to four such edges. A movable closure component has a first engagement position in which the closure component engages with the insert to press the bag when present against the at least one bag-engagement edge of the insert, and a second non-engagement position in which the closure component is separated from the at least one bag-engagement edge of the insert. A lid is preferably attached to the base and movable between a first, closed position covering the opening of the bag and a second, open position in which it does not obstruct the opening of the bag.

The thermoplastic film further includes an encapsulated odor control component that includes an odor control active encapsulated within a plurality of encapsulants. The encapsulants can be configured to delay a release of the odor-control active until activated. Further, the encapsulated odor control component can be applied across the plurality of ribs and the plurality of web areas, which can be configured to cause the encapsulants to activate in phases.
