The waste receptacle is configured to receive and compact waste that is deposited by users into the waste receptacle.

An inductive garbage bin lid for being disposed on a barrel includes a main body and an opening system. The opening system is arranged on the main body and includes a lid, a processing unit, a lighting unit, and a driving unit. The lid covers the opening at a normal state. The sensing unit and the lighting unit are electrically connected to the processing unit respectively. The driving unit electrically connects the processing unit and the lid therebetween. When an object is detected by the sensing unit, the sensing unit sends an actuating signal to the processing unit to further actuate the driving unit to drive the lid to open to leave the opening. The processing unit selectively actuates the lighting unit to light at different lighting modes.

A modular receptacle system for storing refuse or recyclable materials, the modular receptacle system comprising a plurality of collapsible bins, a given one of the plurality of bins comprising a base, two opposing exposed side walls, each of the opposing exposed side walls including a bottom edge that allows the opposing exposed side wall to open or fold at a joint edge attached to the base, and two opposing folding side walls, the opposing folding side walls operable to detract or retract at least a portion of the opposing folding side walls from a recess in conjunction with an opening or folding of the opposing exposed side walls at the joint edge, the base and the opposing folding side walls including a mid-section fold that allows the base and folding side walls to open and fold at the mid-section fold, and a plurality of attachment devices that modularly couple the plurality of collapsible bins.

The present application relates generally to diaper accessories, and specifically to changing platforms and disposal bins. The disposal bin of the present application includes an outer housing, the outer housing configured to receive an inner bin and the outer housing including a deposit opening through which a disposal item may be introduced into the outer housing. The disposal bin further includes an inner bin received in the outer housing and defining an inner bin opening for receiving a disposal item when the disposal item is deposited through the deposit opening of the outer housing. The changing platform of the present application includes a core and at least one extension portion being reconfigurable between a collapsed portable configuration and a deployed configuration in which the changing platform is extended to increase the size of a changing surface. An interactive waste receptacle combines a waste receptacle, a display device, a sensor, a camera, a speaker, and a variety of interactive media to receive and process waste, and perform an assortment of interactive functions in a public venue. The interactive waste receptacle detects events from a user, and responds to the events with interactive functions, including; receiving, compacting, and processing a waste; detecting proximal images, sounds, and smells; and displaying advertisements, text, graphics, animation, video, audio, and games. The waste receptacle receives and compacts the waste. A display device integrated with the waste receptacle displays images of advertising, messages, and pertinent information. A sensor detects events from the user. A camera records a user image. A speaker emits and receives audio signals to the user. Interactive media also record user events. The sensor, camera, speaker, and interactive media perform an interactive function in response to the event.

The disclosure relates to a method and a device for collecting garbage. The method includes acquiring a garbage type of garbage to be collected; determining a garbage collector for recycling garbage of the garbage type; and controlling the garbage collector to output a first prompt message to prompt a user to put the garbage to be collected into the garbage collector.
