In an example embodiment, a universal compacting mechanism can be selectively engaged with an existing trash receptacle of any size or shape. The universal compacting mechanism comprises a housing assembly, a motor, a power source, a plate assembly, and an attachment mechanism. The housing assembly includes a threaded rod extending along at least part of the longitudinal axis of the housing assembly. The motor engages with the threaded rod for rotating the threaded rod about the longitudinal axis of the threaded rod. The power source is electrically connected to the motor for providing power to the motor. The plate assembly includes a compaction plate. The plate assembly is engaged with the threaded rod such that rotation of the threaded rod causes a raising or lowering of the plate assembly. The attachment mechanism selectively engages the trash compactor to an existing trash receptacle of any size or shape.

A convertible storage tray and garbage bag holder comprises: a housing including an interior chamber surrounded by one or more side walls, the interior chamber having an opening into the interior chamber and an exit out of the interior chamber; a releasable floor operably connected to the housing and having a closed position blocking the exit out of the interior chamber of the housing and an opened position not blocking the exit out of the interior chamber of the housing; and a bag retention frame operably connected to the housing and having an engaged position relative to the housing and a disengaged position relative to the housing wherein at least a portion of the bag retention frame is disposed further away from the housing than in the engaged position. The bag retention frame can be pivotally connected to the housing.

A recyclables dispensing assembly includes a plurality of panels that are releasably coupled together to form a box for storing recyclables. The box is mounted on a vertical support surface. A door is hingedly coupled to a respective one of the panels such that the door closes a bottom end of the box when the panels are assembled to form the box. Thus, the door retains the recyclables in the box. The door is selectively positioned in an open position to empty the recyclables from the box. A clasp is attached to a respective one of the panels and the clasp is biased to engage the door when the door is closed. The clasp is urgeable to disengage from the door to open the door.

The garbage bag sling comprises a plurality of webbings, a plurality of fasteners, a plurality of hooks, a plurality of handles, a mesh sheeting, and a plurality of seams. The plurality of seams are used to interconnect the plurality of webbings, the plurality of fasteners, the plurality of handles, and the mesh sheeting. The system is a container comprising a mounted upper motor operated closure via a power source, controller, circuit board, and sensor encased with a storage unit and a detachable lower closure to hold and conceal the contained waste. The inside of the peripheral compartment contains a removable partition that exits from the bottom of the receptacle by way of a mounted lower closure to enable the removal of the inside bin containing the filled waste bag. The removable partition is assembled having an opening at the top without a closure and a closed bottom area. Perforated holes are located on the exterior rear of the outside receptacle to allow secure wall or fixture mounting.

A garbage can securing assembly for securing a garbage can to a wall or the like includes a pair of brackets. Each of the brackets may be attached to a vertical support surface and each of the brackets has a receiving space therein. The receiving space in each of the brackets insertably receives a handle of a garbage can. A pair of pins is provided and each of the pins removably engages an associated one of the brackets. Moreover, each of the pins retains the garbage can in the brackets thereby inhibiting the garbage can from being tipped.

A trash receptacle capable of receiving and dispensing garbage bags. The receptacle may include a compartment enclosed by walls of the trash receptacle, the compartment being the enclosure for receiving trash, two parallel and planar horizontal bars or rods within the compartment, with the bars or rods being structurally configured to receive and dispense garbage bags. The receptacle may also have a lid over the compartment, the lid providing access into the compartment.
