A trash compacting apparatus including a container, an air pump, two or more inflatable air bladders, an air distributor, a load plate, a load sensor, a pressure sensor, a controller unit, and an interface unit is disclosed herein. The apparatus may operate as a standard trash container and may further include a lid. The apparatus may be operated by the user or by a programmable controller unit to inflate the air bladders, thereby compressing trash contained within the apparatus and reducing the total volume of the trash.

Universal trash compactor

Disclosed are embodiments that relate to apparatus for compacting materials. The apparatus comprising a mechanical linkage designed to be mounted within the interior of an existing waste receptacle, a compression surface operably connected to the mechanical linkage, and a motor operably connected to the mechanical linkage, wherein the motor is capable of extending and retracting the mechanical linkage, thereby lowering and raising the compression plate. Some embodiments will take advantage of integrated sensors and processors in order to capture and analyze large amounts of data related to the compactor operations. This data may lead to refinements and greater efficiency in the waste disposal processes.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COLLECTING AND PROCESSING GLASS
20200118087 · 2020-04-16 ·

Disclosed is a method of virtualizing access queues to machines for glass collection distributed throughout a territory. The distinction of management of requests for unloading full containers is based on the configuration of: the machine; the central server, remotely controlling queue management; the plant using glass coming from the collection to process it; and a fleet of trucks executing collection, following a path suggested by the data bank residing on the central server. In the method, the control center monitors availability of crushed glass at the machines, and demands for glass of a particular type by each production plant. If an emptying request arrives from a machine where one or more glass containment cells is filled, the control center reprocesses the updated paths for the fleet of trucks or transport vehicles and for unloading from the machine to the truck based on the contingent requests from each production plant.

Interactive waste receptacle

An interactive waste receptacle combines a waste receptacle, a display device, a sensor, a camera, a speaker, and a variety of interactive media to receive and process waste, and perform an assortment of interactive functions in a public venue. The interactive waste receptacle detects events from a user, and responds to the events with interactive functions, including; receiving, compacting, and processing a waste; detecting proximal images, sounds, and smells; and displaying advertisements, text, graphics, animation, video, audio, and games. The waste receptacle receives and compacts the waste. A display device integrated with the waste receptacle displays images of advertising, messages, and pertinent information. A sensor detects events from the user. A camera records a user image. A speaker emits and receives audio signals to the user. Interactive media also record user events. The sensor, camera, speaker, and interactive media perform an interactive function in response to the event.

INCENTIVE-BASED WASTE REDUCTION SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF
20200082355 · 2020-03-12 ·

An incentive-based waste reduction system and method thereof are disclosed herein. In accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, an incentive-based waste reduction system comprises a collection means comprising at least a load-determining device, the collection means for obtaining a quantifiable measure of waste material from an entity, a value associated with the quantifiable measure of waste material, an adjustment factor for adjusting the value associated with the quantifiable measure of waste material, determined from an algorithm, the algorithm taking as an input at least a predetermined factor, a credit value associated with at least a quantifiable measure of deposited waste material, and a reward value associated with the credit value. Information about the waste material is transmitted to a host server which performs actions based on the received information, including reconfiguring a deployment scheme of trucks to routes to save resources.

Waste container with weight-measurement system

A weight-measurement system for inclusion or use with a waste container includes scale devices in communication with a remote computer via a communications module. The scale devices can be provided by load cells for example load-pin load cells used as axles for wheels mounted to a base frame supporting the waste container so that the wheeled base frame serves as a scale platform for the waste container. The remote computer can be programmed to receive from the load cells, via the communications module, weight data representing the total weight of the waste container and its waste contents, then deduct the known weight of the waste container when empty, to determine the actual weight of the waste contained in the waste container. And the computer can be programmed for providing a notification if a preset waste weight limit is met or neared and automatically scheduling emptying by a waste-collection vehicle.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR COLLECTING GARBAGE

The disclosure relates to a method and a device for collecting garbage. The method includes acquiring a garbage type of garbage to be collected; determining a garbage collector for recycling garbage of the garbage type; and controlling the garbage collector to output a first prompt message to prompt a user to put the garbage to be collected into the garbage collector.

SERVER, METHOD, AND PROGRAM FOR MEASURING WASTE DISCHARGE AMOUNT AND MANAGING WASTE COLLECTION
20240104517 · 2024-03-28 · ·

The present invention relates to a server for measuring a waste discharge amount and managing waste collection, the server calculating, on the basis of image data of a waste collection box captured by a sensor, the volume of waste discharged to the waste collection box, using the calculated volume to update the volume of waste accumulated in the waste collection box, and recording that the waste in the waste collection box has been collected by a waste collection company if a collection signal of the waste collection box is received from a terminal of the waste collection company, and thus the waste of all affiliated companies can be continuously tracked and monitored.
