Dental implant

Dental implant embodiments comprising one or more non-annular cutaways from a portion of the crown are described. In some embodiments, cutaways, which are implantable beneath the bone line, are orientable during implantation by reference to a dental implant positioning tool to which the dental implant is mated in a known orientation. Mating, in some embodiments, is secured by a detent system which reversibly interlocks the positioning tool and the implant. In some embodiments, a surface of a cutaway is provided with protrusions which stimulate bone regrowth into the volume which the remainder of the cutaway provides.

Dental implant system and method

An implant fixture is disclosed. The implant fixture contains an elongated shaft section, a head section, wherein the head section comprises at least one concave area for bone growth therein, and a protrusion extending from the head section.

A subperiosteal securement kit is provided including a subperiosteal dental implant device and a drilling guide attachable thereto. The subperiosteal dental implant device has a frame engageable with the jawbone of a patient and a fixation bore sized and shaped to receive therein a bone screw. The drilling guide has an elongated guiding channel sized shaped to receive a drill bit therein and is removably attachable to the frame of the subperiosteal dental implant device, with the guiding channel being in communication with the fixation bore when the drilling guide is attached to the frame of the subperiosteal dental implant device. A method subperiosteal dental implant device is provided to be secured to a jawbone of a patient and being engageable with a drilling guide having a threaded section.

DUAL FIXATION SYSTEM FOR PROSTHESIS ON DENTAL IMPLANTS THAT ALLOWS THE PROSTHESIS TO BE SCREWED OR CLIP RETAINED AS APPROPRI-ATE
20210186666 · 2021-06-24 ·

The invention relates to a dual fixation system for dental implant prosthesis consisting of: an intermediate abutment assembly for fixation on the implant, clip fixation device, fixation screw and cylinder that allows the prosthesis to be screwed or retained by clip as appropriate, individually or independently for each implant.

This system facilitates both the immediate loading technique and the execution of the definitive prosthesis made on an intermediate abutment, since retention by clip is very advantageous in the case of implants with unfavorable emergencies, joining them to the structure as abutments and without compromising the esthetics of the case.

BONE-BONDED ARTIFICIAL TOOTH STRUCTURE
20210186664 · 2021-06-24 ·

A bone-bonded artificial tooth structure for fixing to a patient's partially atrophied and gum covered alveolar bone includes a base portion having opposed lower and upper connecting sections located below and above a peak of the atrophied alveolar bone, respectively, the lower connecting section being in contact with the atrophied alveolar bone, and one side of the upper connecting section opposed to the atrophied alveolar bone defining a connecting surface; a tooth portion fixed to the connecting surface; and a dental anchor having an anchoring section inserted into the atrophied alveolar bone and another anchoring section inserted in the base portion to restrict the base portion from displacing relative to the alveolar bone. The bone-bonded artificial tooth structure fixed to the alveolar bone can immediately provide good supporting strength for chewing food without needing to wait for a long time for the osseointegration of the bone with the base portion.

DENTAL IMPLANT WITH POROUS INGROWTH MATERIAL

A medical implant and a method of implanting a medical implant are disclosed. The medical implant (20) is elongate and for fixation in a patient, and comprises an apical bone anchoring portion (200) for bone apposition, and an unthreaded coronal portion (210), wherein said coronal portion (210) has a length (L.sub.2) exceeding or equaling a length (L.sub.1) of said apical portion (200), and wherein said apical portion (200) has a maximum outer diameter (D.sub.1) that is equal to or larger than a maximum outer diameter (D.sub.2) of said coronal portion. In a method of implanting a medical implant, an apical part is affixed in the zygomatic bone, and a coronal part is positioned outside the maxilla in the mucous membrane.

System and method of dental implant and interface to abutment for restoration

A dental assembly for vertical attachment of an implant to a dental abutment for restorative dental procedures is disclosed. The implant includes a cylindrical body having an interior bore formed between a distal end and a proximal end. An abutment interface is formed on the proximal end of the cylindrical body. The interface includes a radial annular interior surface and a flat annular stop surface circumferentially bordering the interior bore. The assembly also includes an abutment including a stem and a post coupled to the stem. An interior bore is formed through the stem and the post. The abutment includes an interface section between the post and the stem. The interface section may include an annular radially curved exterior surface proximate to the post. The radially curved exterior surface and the circular flat surface interfaces with the abutment interface of the dental implant.
