Fixation base and guides for dental prosthesis installation
Apparatus and method for installing a multi-tooth dental prosthesis in one session are shown and described. A first tool attaches to the jawbone, and serves as a foundation for subsequently used guides. Existing teeth and dental fixtures are removed, and the bone tissue is removed to accommodate the prosthesis. Subsequently, a drill guide is used to drill implant holes. An abutment guide is then used to place abutments. Copings are then installed. Next, the prosthesis may be installed and cemented to the copings. A resinous filler material may be applied to fill gaps and holes in and between the copings and the prosthesis, and is sanded smooth. The first tool, the guides, and the prosthesis are predesigned and prefabricated based on images taken of the patient anatomy.
Scan abutment having an enlarged scan surface
The invention relates to a scan abutment (2) for determination of the position of the plane of the front face (1.1) of a dental endosseous implant (1), wherein the abutment (2) has a longish, hollow shaft (4) and a base (3) at the bottom side (4.2) of the shaft (4), and the base (3) with at least a part of its bottom side (8.2) is attachable onto the front face (1.1) of the implant (1), wherein the base (3) has a recess (9) extending from the upper side (8.1) to the lower side (8.2) of the base (3), wherein the longish, hollow shaft (4) has from a side wall (10) having at least one through hole (5a) at its outer periphery, wherein the through hole of the side wall (10) extends from the bottom side (4.2) of the shaft (4) to the upper side (4.1) of the shaft, thereby forming a planar surface (6) in the plane (12) between shaft (4) and base (3).
DENTAL ATTACHMENT ASSEMBLY CAP AND METHOD OF USE
A dental attachment assembly and method anchors a dental appliance with an implant and has an abutment member attached to the implant, a retention member in releasable snap engagement with the abutment member, and a cap secured in a recess of the dental appliance and in releasable swivel engagement with the retention member to position and secure the dental appliance onto the implant. The cap includes a cavity with a rounded, concave inner surface which engages with the retention member, an interior top surface of the cavity with a concave recess extending radially along an outer periphery of the interior top surface of the cavity to allow for rotation of the retention member within the cap. A central portion of the interior top surface of the cavity surrounded by the concave recess therefore protrudes vertically into the cavity to minimize vertical displacement of the retention member as it rotates.
Fixed hybrid dental attachment assembly and methods of use
A fixed hybrid dental attachment assembly is provided. The fixed hybrid dental attachment assembly includes an abutment member, a male member, and a cap. The abutment member has an outer locating surface portion projecting downwardly from an upper end. The male member for attachment to the abutment member has an upper end for engagement within a cap in a recess in a dental appliance, and a continuous, unbroken skirt projecting from the upper end of the male member for engagement over the outer locating surface of the abutment member. The skirt may have a rounded, convex outer surface, and the male member may be constructed from a PEEK material.
Dental alignment system and method for dental implant placement
A dental alignment guide system for dental implant placement has an anatomical guide, a tooth supported guide and a surgical guide. The system further can have an articulation piece, a prosthetic seat, an analog anatomical model and artificial teeth. The system has a plurality of implants, the implants being abutments, preferably multiunit abutments, a plurality of screws for attaching the anatomical guide to bone, pins to removably attach the various guides and the artificial teeth to the anatomical guide as assemblies during the method of practicing the invention.
Apparatus and methods of making denture devices
The present application describes an implant-supported denture device and a method for designing and manufacturing an implant-supported denture device for a patient. A method is described for designing a virtual denture and manufacturing an implant-supported functional fitting replica denture from the virtual denture. An apparatus comprising a functional fitting replica denture is prepared having denture teeth having a fit substantially similar to the final denture. The methods and apparatus described herein reduce the number of visits required to manufacture the final denture.
MElHOD for dynamically guiding a dental oral and maxillofacial prosthesis
An approach is disclosed that involves creating an implant-supported prosthesis that is dynamically guided into position using an image-guided navigation system into position in a patient's mouth without the use of a surgical guide.
IMPLANTABLE OBJECTS, GUIDING DEVICES, AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
Embodiments of the disclosure relate to implantable objects and guiding devices, as well as recipient site preparation instruments, bone-implantable materials, and methods of fabrication and use thereof.

METHOD FOR DYNAMICALLY GUIDING A DENTAL ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL PROSTHESIS USING A 3D DATASET
An approach is disclosed that involves creating an implant-supported prosthesis that is dynamically guided into position using an image-guided navigation system into position in a patient’s mouth without the use of a surgical guide.
