Fixation Base and Guides for Dental Prosthesis Installation
Apparatus and method for installing a multi-tooth dental prosthesis in one session are shown and described. A first tool attaches to the jawbone, and serves as a foundation for subsequently used guides. Existing teeth and dental fixtures are removed, and the bone tissue is removed to accommodate the prosthesis. Subsequently, a drill guide is used to drill implant holes. An abutment guide is then used to place abutments. Copings are then installed. Next, the prosthesis may be installed and cemented to the copings. A resinous filler material may be applied to fill gaps and holes in and between the copings and the prosthesis, and is sanded smooth.
Digital design and manufacturing process for denture abutment luting bar
Taking an intraoral scan of a patient's mouth with existing implants, creating a digital model of the patient's mouth, digitally designing a denture bar based on the digital mouth model, fabricating a physical bar based on the digital bar model, delivering the physical bar into the patient's mouth, capturing records of the patient's mouth and installed physical bar, producing a physical denture and joining it to the physical bar, and delivering the physical denture and bar into the patient's mouth, all in no more than three dental office visits. The step of digitally designing a denture bar typically includes selecting a cement gap for the abutments based on errors in the digital mouth model resulting from the intraoral scan, as well as designing lateral cement ports into the digital bar model. And the step of fabricating a physical bar typically includes using additive manufacturing such as 3D printing.
SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING PTFE DENTAL PLUGS
A method of using a dental filler is disclosed. The method may include securing a prosthetic to a dental implant, the prosthetic having an access channel therethrough. The method may also include filling a portion of the access channel by inserting a polytetrafluoroethylene dental plug into the access channel and compressing the polytetrafluoroethylene dental plug within the access channel.
Simplified protocol for fixed implant restorations using intra-oral scanning and dental CAD/CAM
A method of creating implant-supported dentures without physical impressions is provided. Digital impressions may be obtained from scanning the oral cavity, its structures, landmarks, and implant positions. These scans together provide a highly accurate, digital model from which a digital patient model may be designed. Digital denture designs may be reproduced as denture shapes by automated manufacturing processes, and an implant-supported denture may be manufactured therefrom. Methods form making a try-in denture and a final implant-supported denture are provided.
DENTAL IMPLANT AND SURGERY GUIDE THEREFOR
The present disclosure provides an artificial tooth root for implantation of an artificial tooth. The artificial tooth root may include one or more body portions having a cylindrical shape, and an extension portion coupled to at least a portion of a lower portion of each of the one or more body portions and extending from a lower side and a side of the one or more body portions. The above body portions of the artificial tooth root may include a plurality of body portions, and by coupling the extension portion to the plurality of body portions, it is possible to couple a plurality of artificial tooth root implants through the extension portions.
KIT OF PARTS CONTAINING DENTAL MILL BLANK COLOURING SOLUTION
The present invention relates to a kit of parts comprising a dental mill blank comprising a porous zirconia material and a colouring solution for colouring the porous zirconia material. The porous zirconia material comprises Zr oxide calculated as ZrO2: from 80 to 97 wt.-%, Al oxide calculated as Al2O3: from 0 to 0.15 wt.-%, Y oxide calculated as Y2O3: from 1 to 10 wt.-%, Bi oxide calculated as Bi2O3: from 0.01 to 0.2 wt.-%, the porous zirconia material not comprising Fe calculated as Fe2O3 in an amount of more than 0.01 wt.-%, wt.-% with respect to the weight of the porous zirconia material. The colouring solution comprises solvent(s), colouring agent(s) comprising metal ions selected from Tb, Er, Pr, Mn or combinations thereof, the solution not comprising Fe ions in an amount of more than 0.01 wt.-%, the solution not comprising Bi ions in an amount of more than 0.01 wt.-%, wt.-% with respect to the weight of the colouring solution. The invention also relates to a process of producing a dental restoration, the process comprising the steps: providing a dental mill blank comprising a porous zirconia material as described in any of the preceding claims, machining an article out of the porous zirconia material, the article having the shape of a dental restoration with an outer and inner surface, providing a colouring solution as described in any of the preceding claims, applying the colouring solution to at least portions of the surface of the article having the shape of a dental restoration.
Dental connection assembly and method for producing a dental prosthesis
The present invention relates to a connection assembly for attaching a dental component to a dental implant, a dental component for the connection assembly and a method to use the connection assembly. The connection assembly (100; 1100; 2100; 3100) is removably attachable to the dental implant (10; 1010; 2010; 3010), preferably with the dental component (20; 1020; 2020; 3020) attached to the connection assembly, and a dental component is attachable to the connection assembly in a pre-fastened state or a fastened state. The pre-fastened state, when the connection assembly is attached to the dental implant, the connection assembly allows for adjustment of a relative position and/or orientation between the dental component and the dental implant. In the fastened state, the relative position and/or orientation between the dental component and the connection assembly is fixed, while the connection assembly is in particular detachable from the dental implant with the dental component attached to the connection assembly in the fastened state.
Dental prosthesis
There is described a dental prosthesis for forming a friction fit attachment to a dental implant or dental connector. The prosthesis comprises a release device comprising a release member that is movable relative to the prosthesis from a first position to a second position. When the release member is in the first position the release device is not operable to impart a separating force to a friction fit attachment between the implant or connector and the prosthesis and when the release member is in the second position the release device is operable to impart a separating force to a friction fit attachment between the implant or connector and the prosthesis.
Prosthodontic device with detachable suprastructure and related screw
A detachable prosthodontic device includes an abutment, a suprastructure, and a screw. The abutment includes a hollow chamber. A screw hole is arranged on an abutment wall of the hollow chamber. The suprastructure is provided with a receiving region and an inner surface surrounding the receiving region. The screw includes a screw head and a screw rod. The screw head includes a contact member and a guiding member. When the screw is mounted in the screw hole, a portion of the screw head protrudes outward from an outer surface of the hollow chamber. When the suprastructure is sleeved onto the abutment, partial area of the outer surface of the hollow chamber contacts with partial area of the inner surface of the suprastructure, and the screw head supports an opposing side of the inner surface to apply a force onto the inner surface to thereby retain the suprastructure onto the abutment.
