Combination, system; holding means; dental tool and dental set
A combination has an implant, a dental dam and a holding device for detachably holding the dental dam at an implant end portion of the implant. The holding device is formed of a circular ring which is closed on its periphery and which has a ring-clamping portion that extends around a ring through-opening. A system has a combination that has an implant, which is preferably a dental implant; a dental dam; and a holding device. A dental tool can be used for detachably fastening a dental dam to an implant via a holding device.
ZYGOMATIC IMPLANT
A zygomatic implant for supporting a dental bridge is provided. The zygomatic implant has a stem with a longitudinal axis having a threaded apical portion, an intermediate portion, and a neck portion having a seat for attachment of an abutment. The zygomatic implant has a head with a polygonal cross section that protrudes atop the neck portion, and two internal threads, each having an axis orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of the stem and a mouth located on a lateral wall of the stem. The two internal threads are arranged longitudinally offset along the longitudinal axis of the stem.
A DENTAL IMPLANT ASSEMBLY
A dental implant assembly comprises, a base member which is rotatably insertable into a jaw-bone. The base member may be defined by a collar portion, a mid-portion and an apical region. The base member in entirety may be configured with a tapered configuration right from the mid-portion to the apical region. Further, the base member is defined with a plurality of threaded profiles on an outer surface. A first thread profile is defined on the collar portion. A second thread profile, defined on the mid-portion and a third thread profile, defined on the apical region. The third thread profile is configured to cut into the jaw-bone during insertion to anchor the base member. As the third thread profile cuts in to the jaw bone, the second thread profile forms a threaded hole within the drilled hole in order to securely anchor the base member within the jaw bone.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF DIGITAL WORKFLOW FOR SURGICAL AND RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY
A digital workflow process and associated devices and tools for providing dental restorations and, more particularly, to precise and efficient reconstruction and replacement of teeth using novel digital workflows and improved dental scan bodies, abutments and other dental devices and tools to efficiently achieve a more precise fit and optimal form and function.
Healing abutment system for configuring crown abutments at an implant site
An anatomical healing abutment is configured to connect to a dental implant. The healing abutment has a body portion which includes at least three reference marks that provide data to orient the connection axis of the abutment with the that of the dental implant so that certain conventional steps, including healing abutment manipulation, multiple scans, and the taking of impressions, can be eliminated, thereby saving time and effort on the part of the practitioner.
IMPLANTATION SYSTEM AND ADD-ON ELEMENT FOR AN IMPLANTATION SYSTEM
An implantation system has an implant body, an add-on element, and a connection element. The implant body has a connection inner profile or a connection outer profile; which cooperates with a connection outer profile or with a connection inner profile of the add-on element. The add-on element is connectable to the implant body in a rotationally-fixed manner. The connection element is screwable through an aperture of the add-on element into a thread of the implant body in order to detachably connect the add-on element to the implant body. The disclosure also describes an add-on element for an implantation system. The add-on element has a connection inner profile or a connection outer profile for producing a rotationally-fixed connection to a connection outer profile or to a connection inner profile of an implant body, and having an aperture for introducing a connection element.
METHODS FOR INTEGRATING SCANS INCLUDING 3D CONE BEAM SCAN FOR POSITIONING OF IMPLANT AND FABRICATION OF DENTAL PROSTHESIS
Methods for taking a scan of a patient's oral cavity for use in fabricating a dental prosthesis. Such methods may include providing a healing cap configured to be received within a subgingival void of a given tooth position, taking a first scan of the healing cap, wherein the first scan is taken outside of a patient's oral cavity, seating the healing cap, taking a second scan, which is an intraoral scan of the healing cap and surrounding surfaces once the healing cap is seated, taken inside the patient's oral cavity; and integrating the first scan of the healing cap with the intraoral second scan of the healing cap and the surrounding surfaces into an overall oral cavity scan. A third scan, (e.g., 3D cone beam scan), can also be taken, which is overlaid or otherwise integrated with the first and second scans, for use in fabrication of a dental prosthesis.
Modular bone screw for surgical fixation to bone
The invention discloses a modular surgical bone screw assembly having a threaded base portion and a screw head adapted to attach a variety of structures to bone. The features of the screw include a modular design for the assembly that separates the function of anchorage to the recipient bone to one of the modules of the device (threaded portion) from the other function of attaching another element (such as bone block, membrane, orthodontic wires, elastics etc) to a second module (the screw head). The design also allows the head to be exchanged after the implant has been placed.
IMPRESSION POST FOR CONNECTION TO A DENTAL IMPLANT
An impression post for connection to a dental implant, the impression post having a post element being connectible to the dental implant, is disclosed. An annular emergence element is detachably connected to the post element. An inner diameter of the emergence element is configured and adapted to an outer diameter of an axial portion on the post element, and the emergence element can be held in place in a predeterminable axial position of a longitudinal extent of the post element by a positioning element.
SCAN POSTS SYSTEM AND METHOD
A scan posts system with scan posts is presented. Each scan post includes a scan post core and a scan post body surrounding the core and resting in the shoulder of the core. At least part of the scan post body is intended to be in contact with healing tissue. Each scan post body belongs to a group of scan post bodies including at least a combination of two different shapes with three different sizes and at least one height. Each scan post body includes at least one scan mark suitable for providing information about the shape, size and height of the scan post to a scanning device, this information being useful for designing a dental implant prosthesis. A method of manufacturing a dental implant prosthesis using such a system is also presented.
