20220184939 · 2022-06-16 ·

Methods of rapidly debonding encapsulant in solar modules and disassembling the modules for reuse or recycling of components. Electromagnetic radiation is applied to a solar module in a temperature and humidity-controlled environment to debond the encapsulant layers. Peel blocks are used to separate the front layer and back sheet of the module from the solar cells. The components are then sorted for reuse or recycling of valuable materials. The embodiments described also include a system of performing the methods that can be arranged in one or more shipping containers to be delivered to a solar module decommissioning site.

Stackable inventory storage modules, storage systems, and methods of using the same

In one embodiment, an inventory storage module has a plurality of conveyor segments that define a movement path that is elongate along a longitudinal direction from a first end of the storage to a second end of the module. The module has a plurality of container carriers that are supported by the conveyor segments. Each container carrier supports at least one inventory storage container that supports at least one inventory item therein. The storage module can transfer the container carriers around the movement path until a desired one of the container carriers is presented at one of the first and second module ends. In another embodiment, a plurality of instances of the storage module are arranged in a vertical stack of independently controllable storage modules.

Level compensator

A level compensator system may be configured to receive containers of different heights and position them at the same level. The level compensator system can include engagement platforms for engaging with the containers. The engagement platforms can move between an engagement configuration for engaging with the containers and a conveyance configuration for conveying of the containers relative to the level compensator.

A plate delivery system provides storage for plates in a first-in, last-out configuration. As the kitchen staff completes a meal (plated), the plate holding the meal is presented to the plate delivery system and the plate moves into the plate delivery system to be ready for the next plate. After a number of plates are stored in the plate delivery system, the plate delivery system is transported from the kitchen to the eating area (e.g., restaurant table or banquet table) and each plate is sequentially presented to a delivery mechanism (e.g., a robot or a waitperson) for final delivery to the table. In some embodiments, the plate delivery system is enclosed and has a cover mechanism to prevent food contamination by foreign matter and in some embodiments, the plate delivery system has heating/cooling mechanisms to help keep warm food warm or cool food cool.
