Skid system for load transport apparatus
A walking apparatus uses a unique single substantially planar interface between the top of support foot and the bottom of load plate to move a load both laterally, longitudinally, and in any curved, angular, diagonal, or non-linear direction. The single substantially planar interface used for moving the load plate in different directions provides the walking apparatus with a low vertical profile that can be installed in load bearing frames with lower ground clearances. In one example, a load bearing device provides a single steering plane movable over a support foot in different directions. A travel mechanism is coupled between the support foot and the load bearing device and is configured to change a horizontal path of the load while the weight of the load is transferred onto the support foot and the travel mechanism is moving the load relative to the support foot.
Material transport apparatus, system and method for moving a load across a surface
A system and method to move a load across a surface. The system has a track on the surface in a first direction, a track cart that moves the load in the first direction and a transfer cart that moves the load in a second direction on a separate cart path. The surface can be corrugated panels having upstanding ribs and the track can have a mounting assembly that mounts the track to the ribs. The track cart slides under the load, lifts the load off the ribs and moves the load in the first direction. The transfer cart is integrated into a gap in the track so the track cart can move over the transfer cart or stop on the transfer cart to move the load in the second direction on ribs defining the cart path. The method uses the components to move the load across the surface.

Method of using blocks and wedges for temporarily supporting a pallet holding a load to be moved via a pallet jack
A method of using simple blocks and wedges, designed to temporarily support a pallet, to create access for a pallet jack underneath the pallet, to enable a properly supported and balanced movement of the load resting on the pallet. The method utilizes two wedges, triangular in shape (each having an angled surface, a bottom surface and a hook), two blocks, rectangular in shape (each having two side walls and a hook), and a commercially-available pallet jack (manually or mechanically operated). The method enables the end-user to provide a temporary, balanced support of a pallet during the gradual increase or decrease in elevation of the pallet. This adjustment of the pallet's elevation, creates access for a pallet jack in the middle of the pallet, that was previously unavailable.
Lifting and transport apparatus for a heavy load
A lifting and transport apparatus for lifting and transporting a heavy load, including a frame that can be moved back and forth at least in a horizontal displacement direction, the frame having four vertical supports of adjustable length which are designed as lifting supports, each with an assigned lifting device, there also being securing device provided on the frame for the releasable attachment of the heavy load, wherein the frame includes at least eight vertical supports of adjustable length. Also disclosed is a method for transporting a heavy load using a lifting and transport apparatus.
