Method for manufacturing disposable rotary cutting tools and disposable rotary tool for dental or medical applications
The shank (12) of a disposable rotary cutting tool (10) comprises a pipe section (16) cut from a drawn metal pipe. The tool head (14) is formed from a cut-out (18a, 18b) of a drawn metal sheet or a section of a metal tube by non-cutting machining. The pipe section (16) and the tool head (14) are advantageously attached by force fitting.
Dental implant socket arrangement
Dental implant having a socket arrangement having the shape of a regular octagon which is partly interrupted by outwardly extending notches being parallel or parallel and partly inclined with respect to the longitudinal center axis of the implant, the inclination being such as to taper inwardly from their coronal end, wherein interrupting and outwardly extending ridges extending from the notches in an apical direction of the dental implant, first contact surfaces being adapted to engage and rotationally secure an abutment, and wherein second contact surfaces extend from the notches within the ridges in the direction of the longitudinal center axis, the second contact surfaces being adapted to engage with an insertion tool; and wherein the notches are positioned at sides or at corners of the regular octagon.
Shaft of a dental tool
The present invention refers to a shaft of a dental tool comprising a distal end region, a cylindrical shaft region adjoining the distal end region, and a proximal end region which lies opposite the distal end region and which is provided with a polygonal profile that tapers conically in the direction of the distal end region and adjoins a tool part.
Screwdriver and screw for medical applications, in particular for dental applications
A screwdriver for medical, in particular dental applications, is provided, the screwdriver (2, 2′, 2″) being configured to cooperate with a screw (1, 1′), the screw (1, 1′) having an apical end (11), a coronal end (10), a screw axis (S) and a first recess (14) at the coronal end for engagement with the screwdriver, the first recess (14) having a substantially polygonal inner contour in a radial plane that is perpendicular to the screw axis (S), the screwdriver (2, 2′, 2″) comprising a shaft (2) defining a longitudinal axis (D) of the screw driver, and an engagement portion (21, 21′, 21″) for engagement with the first recess (14) of the screw (1, 1′), the engagement portion (21, 21′, 21″) having a substantially polygonal outer contour with corners (23, 23′, 23″) and outer surfaces (22, 22′, 22″) between the corners (23, 23′, 23″) wherein in a radial plane that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (D), the outer surfaces (22, 22′, 22″) between two neighbouring corners (23, 23′, 23″) are curved radially outward.
Dental prosthesis
There is described a dental prosthesis for forming a friction fit attachment to a dental implant or dental connector. The prosthesis comprises a release device comprising a release member that is movable relative to the prosthesis from a first position to a second position. When the release member is in the first position the release device is not operable to impart a separating force to a friction fit attachment between the implant or connector and the prosthesis and when the release member is in the second position the release device is operable to impart a separating force to a friction fit attachment between the implant or connector and the prosthesis.
System for the In Situ Cleaning of Dental Implants
Disclosed herein is a cleaning system (30) for a dental implant part (2) that has been introduced into the jaw bone of a patient. For this purpose, in an advantageous embodiment of the invention, a securing element, which is adapted on the end side to connect to a corresponding connection element in the dental implant part, particularly preferably which can be screwed into a thread of the dental implant part by the end side, and to which a distribution element for a cleaning fluid as well as an electrical contact element can be attached, which distribution element can be connected to an external media reservoir via a media channel, and via which electrical contact element, a power source that is connectable to an external power source can be electrically connected to the dental implant part.
Denture lock and tool therefor
A denture lock is disclosed, comprising a tubular bushing extending between a distal end and a proximal end. The denture lock is configured with a bore accommodating a locking pin displaceable between a locked position at which the locking pin projects from the distal end of the bushing, and an unlocked position at which the locking pin is at least partially retracted. At least an external surface portion of the bushing is configured with a coupling arrangement for removably securing a denture therewithin.
INTERACTIVE GUIDANCE AND MANIPULATION DETECTION ARRANGEMENTS FOR A SURGICAL ROBOTIC SYSTEM, AND ASSOCIATED METHOD
Dental implantation systems and methods are provided, including a system comprising a patient-interacting device having an instrument for preparing a site within a patient's mouth for a dental implant. A guiding device in communication with a fiducial marker engaged with the patient's mouth receives the patient-interacting device, and guides the instrument, relative to the fiducial marker, in conjunction with user manipulation of the patient-interacting device. A controller device including a processor is in communication with the guiding device, and directs the patient-interacting device via the guiding device to prepare the site to receive the dental implant. An engagement sensor is operably engaged with the patient-interacting device and communicates with the controller device. The controller device is responsive to sensed disengagement between the patient-interacting device and the user to direct the guiding device to maintain the patient-interacting device at a minimum vertical disposition. Associated systems and methods are also provided.
MEDICAL DRILL BIT
A medical drill bit comprises an accommodating slot disposed concavely on a main body of the medical drill bit, a separate board disposed in the accommodating slot to separate the accommodating slot into a first slot and a second slot, and a lid engaging with the separate board and covering the accommodating slot. The lid and the separate board do not rotate with the main body when the main body in rotation. The accommodating uses to fill with cooling liquid which able to be pumped out from the accommodating slot, and fresh cooling liquid is able to inject into the accommodating slot for cooling the drill bit in rotation.
DRILL LIMIT SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USING SAME
A drill limit system includes a holder having drill stops removably coupled thereto and configured to receive a drill bit therethrough, and a platform coupled to the holder and configured to engage a tip end of the drill bits when received through the drill stops, wherein the holder and platform are movable relative to each other so that the position of the drill stops relative to the drill bits may be selectively varied. A method for attaching drill stops to a drill bit includes providing a holder and a platform movable relative to each other, the holder having a plurality of drill stops removably coupled thereto, inserting a plurality of drill bits through respective drill stops, moving the holder and platform relative to each other to select a desired height of the drill stops on the bits, and engaging the drill stops to the drill bits at the selected height.
