The invention further relates to an insertion tool (200) for inserting a dental implant (1, 201, 401) into bone tissue of a patient. Moreover, the invention relates to a combination of such a dental implant (1, 201, 401) and such an insertion tool (200).

The disclosure relates to methods for attaching a dental implant surgical guide and a dental implant to a dental surgical site including: assembling an implant combination, positioning the dental implant surgical guide including a double open-ended guide cylinder at the dental surgical site; rotating the implant combination through the double open-ended guide channel; and attaching a cap comprising a hollow cylinder to the double open-ended guide channel so the rim of the implant mount body is sandwiched between the dental surgical guide and the cap. The disclosure further relates to a dental prosthesis apparatus including: an abutment; a dental implant; a dental implant surgical guide including a first and a second double open-ended guide cylinder connected by a support bar; an implant mount including a rim; and a cap operable to engage the dental implant surgical guide and sandwich the rim between the cap and the dental implant surgical guide.

Dental milling tool

The invention provides a dental milling tool for milling dental materials in the making of dental prostheses. The dental milling tool is a ball-nose end mill having three helical flutes, each flute being associated with a cutting edge, each cutting edge having chip breakers along the curved edges of the ball. The dental milling tool may be formed from a hard material such as carbide based material, ceramic, cermet, superhard materials including polycrystalline diamond (PCD) and cubic boron nitride (CBN), and diamond composite. Alternatively, the dental milling tool may be coated with a hard coating such as diamond coating, diamond-like-carbon (DLC), nitride based coating such as titanium aluminium nitride (TiAlN), aluminium titanium nitride, (AlTiN), and titanium nitride (TiN), and ceramic coating.

Osteotomy drill bit to produce an optimally shaped jawbone opening for a dental implant and abutment
11471172 · 2022-10-18 ·

A dental drill bit is configured to drill a particularly shaped opening in a human jawbone. The dental drill bit includes first, second, and third portions. The first portion includes a bullet-shaped contour formed by revolving a curve about an axis creating an apex and a bottom, and is so shaped to correspond to a bullet-shaped portion of a dental implant. The second portion includes a hemisphere frustum formed coaxial with the axis of the bullet-shaped contour, and extends from the bottom of the bullet-shaped contour, and corresponds to a portion of an abutment that is supported by the implant. The first and second portions may also each include flutes for cutting/drilling into bone. The third portion includes a shaft that extends from a bottom of the hemisphere frustum and is formed co-axial with the axis of the bullet-shaped contour, and is configured to be secured within a dental drill.

A model includes a model main body, an opening defining portion, and a target model portion. A space is formed between the opening defining portion and the target model portion to allow visual recognition of a range present between the opening defining portion and the target model portion. The range includes a reachable range of the distal end of the procedural instrument from the opening defining portion toward the target model portion and a reachable range of the distal end of the procedural instrument from the opening defining portion in a teeth alignment direction and a direction intersecting the teeth alignment direction.

A dental implant includes an insert element of a titanium-based material inserted and soldered into a blind hole in an anchoring element of a ceramic. The insert element has spacer members to center it in the blind hole, with a uniform circumferential gap space relative to the anchoring element. A portion of the insert element protrudes outwardly beyond an end face of the anchoring element. The blind hole is partly filled with a glass solder, and the insert element is inserted into the blind hole, whereby some of the glass solder is displaced out of the gap space onto the end face of the anchoring element and the protruding portion of the insert element. A thermal soldering process secures the insert element into the anchoring element. The protruding portion of the insert element and remaining excess solder are removed to form a planar surface.
