MOVABLE PLATFORM WITH A MECHANICAL LIFT BRAKE ASSEMBLY
Disclosed herein is a movable platform (MP) for moving freight during cross-dock operations. The MP comprises a mechanical lift brake assembly that can be utilized to deploy a plurality of mechanical lift brakes preventing further movement of the MP. AMP forklift attachment that can be used to convey the MP and to engage or disengage the mechanical lift brake assembly. The MP forklift attachment can be attached to a conveyance vehicle, such as a forklift, or built into an automated guided vehicle.
CONVEYOR CARTRIDGE WITH BRAKING MECHANISM
The present disclosure relates to a conveyor cartridge removably coupled with a first side plate and an opposite second side plate that delimit a direction of the conveyor cartridge transverse to transport direction. Conveyor rollers rotatably mounted to axles and extending a conveyor roller width between the first side plate and the second side plate. Braking mechanism positioned internally in the cartridge frame in between the first side plate and the opposite second side plate. The braking mechanism abuts the conveyor rollers to retard rotation of the conveyor rollers.

Method of dissipating regenerative energy in cargo handling systems
A cargo handling system is disclosed. In various embodiments, the cargo handling system includes a direct current power bus; a motor connected to the direct current power bus and having a flux reference input; a unit controller connected to the motor and configured to detect a level of regenerative energy on the direct current power bus and to alter the flux reference input in response to the level of regenerative energy.
Spring-biased brake mechanism for pallet storage systems and pallet storage systems incorporating such brake mechanisms
A brake mechanism for a pallet storage system includes a leg defining a stop surface and movable between a stop position, wherein the stop surface is disposed within a travel path of a pallet traveling along a pallet storage system, and a go position, wherein the stop surface is displaced from the travel path. A biasing mechanism having a spring force is coupled to the leg and configured to bias the leg towards the stop position such that the spring force is required to be overcome to permit the leg to move from the stop position to the go position. Pallet storage systems including at least one of such brake mechanisms are also provided.

Braking and locking system
A control device is described for rollers of a trailer. Belt supports and belt-end supports attach to the trailer, which has rollers for unloading cargo. The belt is over each of the belt supports and under each of the rollers. A belt tensioner tensions the belt so as to brake the rollers.
