DENTAL IMPLANT SYSTEM WITH POSITIVE ABUTMENT SCREW LOCKING AND RETRIEVAL MECHANISM
A new dental implant system with positive abutment screw locking and retrieval mechanisms is provided. The abutment screw is positively locked by a keying pin to improve fatigue life. The abutment screw is also equipped with a special feature that greatly improves the retrievability of the broken screw from inside the implant. In addition, the keying pin is designed with a lock nut as a sub-assembly for ease of installation.
Method of Providing Dental Implant Based Restorations
A method for designing and manufacturing implant based restorations is disclosed. The method involves the use of Scannable Temporary Anatomic References to provide very reliable, fixed points of reference to enable a technician to relate and superimpose the dental implant position to a pre-planned restoration with a very high degree of accuracy throughout the entire workflow. The method can be carried out by placing Scannable Temporary Anatomic References in a jaw, on teeth, and/or in implants, collecting images by scanning a mouth, relating those images to images of a appearance of desired dental implant based restoration, placing an implant in the jaw, scanning the scannable temporary anatomic references to create a new set of images, relating the images, and producing a restoration based on the images.
INTEGRATED HYBRID DENTAL IMPLANT
The present invention relates to an integrated hybrid dental implant, and more particularly, to an integrated hybrid dental implant in which an opening portion formed at a screw body to enable a drug to be injected into an implantation site of the implant, and the mechanical stability is excellent despite the presence of the opening portion. The integrated hybrid dental implant according to the present invention enables a drug to be supplied to the area around the implantation site so as to induce bone regeneration into the implant after the implant has been placed at a bone-deficient site, has an additional mechanical strength when bone grows into the side openings and hollow inner channel, and allows the screw body to be integrally formed with the prosthesis section (i.e., one piece) to exhibit more excellent mechanical strength so that the implant can be useful as a dental implant.
DENTAL IMPLANT WITH A SACRIFICIAL CORONAL PORTION
A dental implant is described and includes a threaded coronal portion having a top hollow part with a cavity and an opening in a top portion of the hollow part, wherein the top hollow part is defined by sacrificial walls of the coronal portion, wherein a width of the cavity and the opening allows insertion of a cutting element of a dental saw into the cavity.
Dental Implants with Markers for Determining Three-Dimensional Positioning
Dental implants including radiopaque markers provided therein or thereon. The implant may also include customizable length characteristics. For example, a kit may include implants with different diameters (e.g., 3 diameters), where all of the implants are of a single (e.g., long) length. The appropriate diameter implant may be selected from the kit by the practitioner, and the long length implant may be cut (e.g., with a dental drill) to the appropriate length needed. The implants include radiopaque markers on or within the implant. For example, three series of markers may be provided on different faces of the implant, so that the three series of markers serve as reference points when scanning, allowing triangulation of the exact position of the implant in relation to the surrounding hard and soft oral tissues.
IMPROVED DAMPING DEVICE FOR OVERDENTURES AND PROSTHESES ON DENTAL IMPLANTS
The invention relates to an improved damping device for overdentures and prostheses on dental implants, designed to be positioned on dental implants and to bear on same, comprising an elongate body with elastic properties and with a structure in the form of leaf spring, each end of the body being designed to be positioned on dental implants and to bear on same.
METHOD OF DESIGNING AND PRODUCING DENTAL IMPLANT BASED RESTORATIONS
ENTERAL FAST ACCESS TRACT PLATFORM SYSTEM
A gastrointestinal administration device comprising an elongated tube or track, an anchor and a channel, which allows the proximal end of the tube or track to be wholly secured inside the mouth from where it passes down the lateral oropharynx to the desired site in the gastrointestinal tract. This system may be used to administer nutrients, fluids, medications, nutraceuticals, dietary supplements and/or non-nutrient gastrointestinal stimulants or other therapies directly to a desired site in the gastrointestinal tract in humans and animals for a variety of purposes including novel applications such as weight and glucose control, local administration of medication and storage of a deposit of a therapeutic agent. It may also be used for monitoring of processes inside the gastrointestinal tract.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSMITTING VIBRATIONS
Methods and apparatus for transmitting vibrations via an electronic and/or transducer assembly through a tooth or teeth are disclosed herein. The assembly may be attached, adhered, or otherwise embedded into or upon a removable oral appliance to form a hearing aid assembly. Such an oral appliance may be a custom-made device. The electronic and transducer assembly may receive incoming sounds either directly or through a receiver to process and amplify the signals and transmit the processed sounds via a vibrating transducer element coupled to a tooth or other bone structure, such as the maxillary, mandibular, or palatine bone structure.
UNIVERSAL DIGITAL DENTAL IMPLANT SCANNING CODE AND METHOD
A universal digital implant scanning code (UDDISC) is provided on a dental implant body and/or any device attached to the dental implant body (e.g., the dental implant carrier). Implant bodies and platforms are available in many different types of sizes and configurations from many different companies. The UDDISC allows for an immediate digital scan of the dental implant in relationship to the patient's dentition.
